This is a lovely house, comfortable, clean and spacious. The garden is well enclosed too. There was no welcome pack which was a bit disappointing. Not even a pint of milk or a few pods for the pod coffee machine. We enjoyed our stay though.

A lovely house that provided a real home from home for us in Northumberland. The property is in a great location for walks on Beadnell beach & as a base to explore further afield. We had a lovely walk north from Bamburgh & enjoyed walking Beadnell to Craster while the boys surfed at High Newton. We would recommend the Ship Inn & Joiner Arms at NewtRead moreon for food, The Beadnell Towers for Sunday roast & the ice cream shop in Amble. The cottage was lovely & nothing spoiled our trip but we felt the bedding, crockery & utensils could be refreshed a little to make it feel more luxurious as they were a little tired & a few things were missing (baking tray, fish slice etc). These were minor details though & it wouldnt stop us booking again. Many thanks for letting us stay. Hide

We wanted pet friendly, near pub and near the coast. This property ticks all those boxes. The information and photos of the property included in the advert are accurate. Very useful short cut to beach via rear garden and outside hose to wash the dog. Property was clean and comfortable. Appliances are all modern as the property is relatively new anRead mored worked fine. Views from 1st and 2nd floors are excellent . Had brunch at "The Landing" which is a cafe/restaurant near to the beach. Very much recommend a visit. They do evening meals but dogs not allowed inside after 5pm. They do have outside heaters. Beer at Craster Arms is excellent. Food was OK too. Dogs are allowed in all areas. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and have no negative comments to make regarding the property or the local area. The property is stunning and ideally located in a quiet cul-de-sac in Beadnell. The layout of the property is perfect. The property is well equipped with everything you could need during your stay. There is even a jacuzzi bath. The garden is well maintained, fully enclosed and ideal for young children and dogs. The Craster Arms and The LandingRead mores are a short walk and both serve delicious food. The beach is only a short walk away. We enjoyed a walk to Seahouses along the coastal path, calling at The Lazy Cow Cafe for a coffee and cake half way. We had a lovely weekend at the property and wished we could have stayed longer. There are many places of interest close by. It is a property I would certainly recommend to others. Hide

We have booked with Original Cottages and stayed at the property in Tamarin Close 3 years running now. The location of the property, its size and bathrooms really work for us as a 3 generation family and the proximity to the beach is a real draw for what has become our annual seaside holiday. When we first came to the property in 2020 everyone wasRead more just relieved to be able to get away after the first lockdown due to the Covid pandemic. We have had great times in the property and are likely to book it again for next year. I would like to make a few comments on the fittings and equipment at the property however, as it is marketed as a luxury property and some of features do not live up to this. When we first came in 2020 there was no wardrobe or hanging space in any of the bedrooms. This has been rectified with one wardrobe in the top bedroom since 2021. It does feel that some of the furniture has been lifted from a spare room somewhere, with old chairs and mismatched bedroom furniture as well as the very low bed in the double bedroom on the first floor. The bedding is fairly lumpy with random covers added in. The blinds/curtains are very thin and do not keep the rooms dark, which when you have small children is not ideal in the summer. We bring our own blackout blind for the children's room., but I would expect more of a hotel style curtain or blind to keep the rooms dark. Finally, some of the kitchen utensils are old and tatty, the kitchen scales are broken and there is a lack of oven dishes. Whilst this may seem like nit picking, when the price for a week's stay at the property is in excess of 2000 I would expect smarter fittings and equipment than there currently are. I do accept that the cost for up to 8 people is fair and I acknowledge that the cost of everything is increasing, but to enhance the 'home from home' feel that self-catering holidays are marketed on now I would like to see some improvements regarding the above points.
