Enjoy a coastal break with your friends, family, and canine companions at this gorgeous spacious property in Beadnell just over 150 metres from a fabulous vast, sandy beach. It has plenty of space for everyone and is very popular with our furry guests, having a multi-fuel burner to snooze next to and an enclosed garden to play in.

This large, detached house is made for relaxing, with calming tones and a seaside vibe throughout. Nearly all of the downstairs is taken up by the lovely light open plan living area, comprising lots of comfy seating plus a Smart TV and multi-fuel burner, and a cottage-style kitchen with a dining table big enough to seat everyone where French doors lead outside. There’s also a utility room and a handy downstairs cloakroom. On the first floor are the gorgeous bedrooms and bathrooms, two king-size rooms, one has an en-suite shower room, the second king has a TV, plus two twin rooms and a beautiful family bathroom. Enjoy dining al fresco on the patio in the fenced garden with a big lawn the kids and canines will love.

Hit the beach and marvel at the golden sands and blue waters there. The long, sweeping bay is perfect for walkies, water sports, or just relaxing. Head to Beadnell Harbour and lime kilns (about 200 metres away) to see the working fishing boats and continue along the beach to Low Newton (4 miles one way) and a pub lunch. Alternatively, carry on along Embleton bay to Dunstanburgh Castle (3.5 miles). Once a formidable fortress, you can still climb the tower for awesome views. Seahouses (2 miles) and Bamburgh (5 miles) are within easy reach and Beadnell itself has a range of pubs, a shop, and a fish and chip takeaway to visit.

The house was very comfortable and warm during cold weather but we did have to do some initial cleaning on arrival. We didnt take the dog though it would have been ideal. The reason that I wont book again is because I am elderly and it will be my last trip to Northumberland. With just a few yards from the beautiful beach it couldnt have been bettRead moreer situated and from fhe property there were numerous places to visit within easy driving distance. We visited the pub twice and the meals were good but the fish and chips bar in Beadnell could not have been beaten,, delicious. The weather was very mixed and cold and we were a little unprepared though it didnt prevent us from enjoying our visit and we went hope with very happy memories. Bamburgh Castle and Alnwick gardens will stay long in our memories. Thank you for making our visit so comfortable . Hide

We loved our week at Driftwood cottage and our dogs were on cloud nine. Great dog proof big garden and a minute from the huge dog friendly beach. It was bliss. The lady in the catering van nearby is delightful too and the Craster arms does lovely food . We will be back I hope

We were very pleased to see new crockery since our last visit. It was disappointing that there was evidence of previous occupants which had not been cleared away. We would happily book again for the comfort and location.

Driftwood Cottage was very well equipped. The beds were comfortable and the outdoor seating area was a great sun trap. We even had a couple of wild rabbits in the garden, which was lovely! The cottage is about a 20 minute walk from Beadnell village centre which has a general store, a charming church and a couple of pubs. But the main reason for staRead moreying at Driftwood is the location. From the cottage to the beach is about 1 minute walk. Beadnell beach and bay is fabulous. Miles of flat, sandy beach. There is a small harbour and distant views of the coastline with a castle. There is parking for 2 or 3 cars at the front. Our dog loved his stay there and was exhausted every evening after his runs on the beach. Hide
