This quaint cottage in Beadnell benefits from being in one of Northumberland’s most popular villages, right next to the coast. Set in a quiet location, every amenity you need for an easy and relaxing break with family, friends and a couple of dogs is nearby. The property itself is a real home from home with stylishly decorated rooms that are bright and light throughout.

Once inside the property, you can go to the lounge which has comfortable seating and a TV for movie nights in, while your dog sleeps at your feet. There are large patio doors leading to the courtyard garden, so it remains light throughout the day. The open-plan kitchen/diner is neutrally decorated too to maximise on that light. It has everything you need to cater for your group while on holiday, and the table has enough space for all guests. Meal times can be exceptionally sociable here, therefore. The ground floor is also home to a separate WC. Upstairs, you’ll find two wonderful bedrooms. One is a twin, while the other is a double with a TV, and there’s a lovely family bathroom too for freshening up. Outside, the courtyard garden is a great spot to let out dogs or enjoy better weather at the table and chairs. It’s enclosed by old stone walls so has plenty of character.

Upon leaving the cottage by foot, you’ll soon find yourself in Beadnell’s charming streets. You can go to look at the fishing boats in the harbour, get some fish and chips at the local shop, or enjoy a meal at the dog-friendly pubs. You can even enjoy morning dog walk along the sheltered beach.

From stepping into the property, you could tell it was going to be a pleasant experience. The smell of fresh paint hit your nostrils, crossing the threshhold. Is was so clean and interior so well laid out. The use of space was excellent. Great too, having a downstairs loo. Shame the weather wasn't up to being able to utilise the (although quite smRead moreall) enclosed outdoor patio area... It must be great in summer to chill, bbq & dine Al fresco. It has a brilliant postion in the village...being a 2 mins slow walk to the Craster Arms & Beadnell towers. 5, at m9st to the village shop..15/ 20 minute walk to the beach and the Landing ( lovely place to have breakfast, a cuppa, a beer/ wine or dine. property was very much what we expected both size and location. Well equipped but a few dishwasher tablets would have been appreciated. There were two so we also washed up so no need to buy a whole packet but a couple more would be a nice gesture. 0

Consistently high standards, and dog friendly. Overall the cottage was very comfortable and tastefully decorated and in great condition. The only observation was the lack of shaver socket in the bathroom, which would also benefit from a light over the bathroom mirror, especially as the bathroom has no natural light.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Cuthbert Cottage. It was our second visit and we would definitely book this place again should we wish to holiday in Beadnell in the future. Our only gripe is the fact that the car parking arrangements are not clear and it is confusing for people to know exactly which is their parking space. This can cause embarrasRead moresment and frustration. If only this was made clear to people beforehand it would make a huge difference! Hide

It was an absolutely beautiful cottage, in a lovely area. Lovely touch with the yute bag and tea/coffee/biscuits etc for arrival. The size was absolutely perfect, for space but also to keep clean on our stay. I would definitely use Original Cottages again and return to beautiful Beadnall. :)

We had a very enjoyable week, loved the area, loved the cottage. My only complaint, which I left a note for housekeeper. We had a 13.5 tog on the double bed, even with the window open I cooked...my stay would have been nicer if I had the option of a lighter duvet in the cupboard.
