This light and bright cottage, laid out over a single floor, can accommodate up to four people and two dogs. It’s a great home from home for a small family or couples looking to get away from it all, close to the Northumberland coastline. Inside, the property has been neutrally decorated throughout with a few quirkier finishing touches to give it character.
A lovely open-plan kitchen/living/dining area creates the heart of this wonderful holiday let. The lounge section has comfortable seating and a TV for movie nights or chilling out. There is also a selection of board games and books here too for other forms of entertainment. The kitchen has everything you need to cater while on holiday – including a coffee machine for your morning caffeine hit. The dining table has space for four at sociable meal times, with any guest dogs inevitably circling for leftovers. The two bedrooms are a twin and a super-king-size. Both can use the wet room with a walk-in shower and underfloor heating. Outside, there’s a courtyard with a picnic table and a BBQ for al fresco meals.
When you’re looking to explore outside the cottage, you’ll find that Bamburgh is a wonderful village to spend a day or two in. The village itself has many eateries and shops – often very happy to welcome dogs – while its beach is a long stretch of sand with dunes. The castle, though, is one of its most memorable aspects and the drive there is just under 5 miles.
