Retire upstairs to the three elegantly styled bedrooms consisting of a king-size, a twin, and a single. A leafy garden with plants and shrubbery is accessed through the stable door from the diner, where Fido can roam while you perch under the pergola for an al fresco breakfast.

A beautiful cottage in a beautiful area. Plenty to see and do without having to drive too far. Local pub is fab, great food, friendly staff and a takeaway service if you cant get a table. The cottage is very well equipped to a high standard with some retro pieces of furniture yet remains comfortable and homely. Theres plenty of space for 4 or 5 aduRead morelts and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. The garden is well designed, a real sun trap on a good day with a chiminea and a barbecue. There is a secure shed if you are bringing bicycles. We absolutely loved our holiday, were reluctant to leave and will definitely return. Hide

Wayside Cottage was a great base for our walking trip to Wensleydale. The location in Carperby was quiet and peaceful and the cottage offered a strong specification and was very comfortable, clean and good value for money. Also, was just a 300 metre stroll to the Wheatsheaf which is an excellent and welcoming pub with good food and range of beers.

This is a lovely cottage, immaculately presented with nice personal and thoughtful touches like the local maps and the pictures on the walls. There is brilliant under-stair storage for walking boots, hats and gloves. It was clean and tidy and we appreciated having access to the shed for bike storage. It was nicely decorated for Christmas. There aRead morere some wonderful walks and bike rides from Carperby which we enjoyed. The cottage was warm and the heating easily controlled. I have marked it down for comfort because I found the mattress on the double bed uncomfortable. Hide

A beautiful, very well equipped cottage. Third bedroom mattress is best for children (or very light person) but an excellent cottage, in walking distance of the visitors centre, great in the village. Coffee machine takes Tasimo pods if you like real coffee (there is a cafetiere too).

Lovely, comfortable home from home, in a quiet setting, very close to Aysgarth Falls and a short walk to the pub, where the staff were very welcoming.

Great cottage. Very comfortable bed and sofas. Very spacious house, great kitchen. Fabulous garden which we really enjoyed and was almost completely dog proof (we just put a watering can in front of one of the gates to stop our smallest terrier slipping through to the next garden). Great walks all day long in every direction from the cottage. LoveRead morely food rom the pub (they do take away too). No local shop for miles though so need own supplies (or pub take away!), the cottage owner kindly supplied tea/coffee, biscuits and a couple of cute little milk bottles. Thank you, we enjoyed the peace and tranquility. Hide
