This cosy romantic bolthole on the pretty Norfolk coast is the perfect spot for spending some quality time with your partner and pet. Together you can go on miles of ear-flappingly good walks through sand dunes, farmland and woodland at the nearby Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (4.5 miles). In the evening, relax together in your cosy barn conversion, which has space for up to one dog and two humans.
With its brick and stone facade, this accommodation has a quaint and welcoming appearance. On arrival, you’ll step up to the front door and enter the spit-level space. The super-cosy lounge, which is decorated in cheerful colours, has sofas for relaxing plus a TV for getting cosy. You can light the electric fire to keep you warm if needed – your furry friend will certainly appreciate the cosiness it brings. The compact double bedroom has a vaulted ceiling, ceiling beams and a skylight to let plenty of daylight in. Outside, the sweet enclosed courtyard is a lovely spot for the three of you to kick back together; perhaps enjoying morning coffee at the sunny table while your pet finds a shady spot for a snooze.
Take your pet to sniff out the hauntingly beautiful ruins at Creake Abbey (10 miles), or head east to Holt (8.5 miles) where you can jump on a steam train to the traditional seaside town of Sheringham (13.5). Please note that due to nesting birds and other wildlife, doggie restrictions may apply at some of the coastal beauty spots, but at Holkham Beach (6 miles) your four-legged friend can run free as a kite with no restrictions.
