This cosy romantic bolthole on the pretty Norfolk coast is the perfect spot for spending some quality time with your partner and pet. Together you can go on miles of ear-flappingly good walks through sand dunes, farmland and woodland at the nearby Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (4.5 miles). In the evening, relax together in your cosy barn conversion, which has space for up to one dog and two humans.

With its brick and stone facade, this accommodation has a quaint and welcoming appearance. On arrival, you’ll step up to the front door and enter the spit-level space. The super-cosy lounge, which is decorated in cheerful colours, has sofas for relaxing plus a TV for getting cosy. You can light the electric fire to keep you warm if needed – your furry friend will certainly appreciate the cosiness it brings. The compact double bedroom has a vaulted ceiling, ceiling beams and a skylight to let plenty of daylight in. Outside, the sweet enclosed courtyard is a lovely spot for the three of you to kick back together; perhaps enjoying morning coffee at the sunny table while your pet finds a shady spot for a snooze.

Take your pet to sniff out the hauntingly beautiful ruins at Creake Abbey (10 miles), or head east to Holt (8.5 miles) where you can jump on a steam train to the traditional seaside town of Sheringham (13.5). Please note that due to nesting birds and other wildlife, doggie restrictions may apply at some of the coastal beauty spots, but at Holkham Beach (6 miles) your four-legged friend can run free as a kite with no restrictions.

This is a delightful, small, quirky cottage which still manages to have everything you could need. There are some height limitations because the roof slopes in the bedroom and around the stairs which taller people need to take into account. Beautiful little cottage! Very close to the coastal path, a lovely walk into Wells next the sea. Short walk to the local pub, food was reasonably priced and tasty. Some low ceilings so not suitable for tall people

the cottage is lovely, cozy and comfortable and being so close to the salt marsh and Holkham beach was fantastic. I am not the most able-bodied person but did not have any issues getting around the property.

We had a wonderful stay at Courtyard Cottage and would certainly recommend to others - in a perfect central location for exploring throughout North Norfolk. Very comfortable & cosy and while the property is pretty small, it was ample for us with two dogs! There were a few kitchen items lacking which would've been useful, such as sugar, pepper, oRead moreil & bin bags. We did however have a lovely selection of local items on arrival including apple juice, tea bags and cookies, and towels were included (contrary to listing). Hide

Had a wonderful stay at Courtyard Cottage. Yes there are places you can/will bang your head but we knew the layout and it was perfect for what we wanted. Compact, neat and tidy, only 5 mins walk from the lovely pub and 10 mins down to the salt marshes. Close to Wells and Blakeney. Great local stores/coffee shop - good for a morning pastry. The spacRead moree is small but well kept and kitted out. Would definitely stay again. Hide

A very small property for the price commanded - we ABNB a lot and this I don't think presented value for money. Location good for walking both locally and further afield. Local pub Red Lion not worth the recommendations ( we have left a trip advisor post accordingly) food mediocre, service appalling.

Courtyard Cottage is a lovely place for a holiday for one or two fairly agile people. The setting is just beautiful, and close to a good pub and a shop selling lots of superb food. It is a good place to take one or two small pets as the courtyard is fully enclosed. There are a number of steps inside the cottage which could be difficult for some peoRead moreple to manage. It is tastefully furnished. The workspace with monitor and keyboard is a nice touch, and the welcome pack was very welcome! We hope to return soon. Hide
