At the entrance, kick off wellies and pad through to the cosy lounge with its plump sofas and inglenook fireplace. While Fido snoozes in front of the wood burner, you can relax with a good book or film on the TV. Three steps lead to an open-plan kitchen/diner where you can rustle up a delicious meal and then serve it at the intimate dining table. While you dine, open the French doors and let your pup explore the enclosed garden. There’s also a bathroom on this floor, handy for wiping mucky paws. As night falls, retire upstairs to the lovely bedroom and sink into the wonderfully comfortable king-size bed. Outside, a patio is perfectly set up for BBQs and al fresco dining and there’s an enclosed lawn so Fido can safely stretch his legs.
From the property, it’s less than a mile to the town where you’ll find plenty of dog-friendly pubs and bars. From the town, pick up the Camel Trail and enjoy a 12.5-mile walk or cycle to Padstow. Your dog will love exploring the surrounding countryside and woodland on the way. For a day at the beach, head to Daymer Bay (7 miles) or Greenaway Beach (7.5 miles). While you relax on the sand, your canine companion can frolic in the waves and amble in the dunes.
