This chocolate-box cottage in rural Wales sleeps five guests and two furry pals, making it perfect for families and groups of friends. The cottage has a sociable, open-plan layout and enclosed garden for the pups. Located just 2.5 miles from the edge of Snowdonia National Park, the property is a great base for keen walkers and four-pawed explorers. You’ll also be 2 miles from the picturesque market town of Llanrwst.
Step inside the adorable property, and into the bright and spacious lounge/kitchen/diner. The room is decorated in neutral tones, with little pops of colour adding personality and charm. The lounge area is light and airy, next to the patio doors. Unwind here, with the hounds curled on the rug, to watch the Smart TV/DVD or read a book. The carefully designed kitchen has everything you need to whip up tasty dishes, to share together around the dining table or outside on the patio. The ground floor also houses a shower room and a single bedroom, which has direct access to outside. An open-tread, wooden staircase leads to the first floor and the remaining bedrooms, which are set in the eaves (you may experience restricted head height in some areas). The patio area is fully enclosed, making it ideal for waggy-tailed visitors, and also has furniture for al fresco dining.
While away a lazy afternoon, pottering around the adorable market town of Llanrwst. Explore its historic buildings, take photos on the iconic 15th-century arched bridge, and wander through the forest to the little-visited lakes of Geirionydd and Crafnant. Adrenaline-seekers can enjoy a day of outdoor adventure at Zip World Fforest (4 miles), with its giant swings and treetop ziplines. The whole site, including the eateries, is paw friendly, as long as your canine buddies are supervised and kept on leads.
