Head for Orford’s beach with your pup for exhilarating doggy walkies along the beach. Stop to fuel up at one of the village’s excellent independent shops or traditional pubs before exploring medieval Orford Castle. Keep canine companions on a lead as you explore a maze of passages and tunnels at the base, then climb to the roof to enjoy magnificent sea views. Dogs are welcome aboard boat trips from Orford Quay along the beautiful Rivers Alde and Ore. This unspoiled landscape is a haven for wildlife; look out for resident harbour seals. You can also catch a boat ride to charming Aldeburgh (10.5 miles by road), renowned for its thriving cultural scene.
