Lovely cottage in nice location for exploring West and North Norfolk. Lots of space for 4 adults and teenager, 3 sofas a bonus and kitchen well equipped and good off road parking, could not fault cleanliness. The cottage is a bit dated and beds not the most comfortable, the stairs are steep but we knew that in advance and helpful second bathroom upRead morestairs so do not have to go downstairs during night. The wet room downstairs needs updating and I would not recommend to those with mobility issues as floor becomes very slippery. We enjoyed local walks by the river and a stop at the pub for a drink. We visited Wells next to Sea, Brancaster, Hunstanton and Springfields Outlet Shopping at Spalding. Hide

Really lovely cottage, very clean and well equipped. Having read some of the previous reviews, and what has been said about the staircase, it is quite steep, but after a couple of days we became fairly used to it. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Laburnum cottage is in a lovely peaceful location. Beautiful sunsets from the local pub and majestic starry skies. The cottage itself has a very spacious downstairs living space with good size bedrooms and comfy beds upstairs. It is very well equipped with all you could possibly need. The two stair gates were essential given the step stairway aRead morend a 2-year old toddler! The high chair and travel cot provided meant we did not need to bring our own and we were surprised to find linen provided for the cot as well, thank you. The cottage also had a plentiful supply of games, books and DVD's if needed. The enclosed rear garden is also lovely and catches a lot of afternoon sun. Lots of beaches, walks and other attractions locally. We had a great week here and would thoroughly recommend Laburnum cottage to anyone looking to stay in this party of Norfolk. Hide

Amazing facilities. We took pyrex dishes, bottle openers, toys etc but there was everything and more - dog bowls, washing up liquid, cleaning products, washing capsules and tablets, pegs, iron, hangers....so much more than we expected and more than we have ever had from other properties. The bed was lovely. Having a dishwasher machine and tumbleRead more drier was a bonus. The enclosed back garden with table and chairs was my favourite feature. The only downside was the very low water pressure in the shower and the very very steep stairs. Hide

3 of us in our 60s used this as a base for walking the England Coast Path. The house was warm and comfortable and we were impressed with all the kitchen equipment. The details given does not reflect the actual property. The Wet Room needs upgrading and there is no hot water in the basin which the owners have been aware of for a long time. The staircase is very steep and potentially dangerous because the treads are very shallow. Dogs are not allowed upstairs which wasnt mentioned when booking. A lot of issues Read morehave been commented on in the last two years with obviously no action. A bottle of milk and a packet of biscuits do not constitute a welcome pack. The local pub, Crown and Anchor, has only just reopened and does not serve food. Response from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for your review. We can confirm that we will discuss this with the owner. Hide

Lovely clean and comfortable cottage. As in a lot of cottages, the stairs are very steep. Wet room floor can be slippery. I have some mobility issues , I managed but it was a little difficult. The pub thats 5 minutes away is NOT doing food . Absolutely marvellous dog walking from the door, with great views across the river and you can see forRead more miles, great for our reactive dog who could be off lead. We could see if anyone was coming and it was very quiet anyway. I would recommend the cottage but warn of the stairs and wet room. Nearest beach is about 16 miles. Great places to visit but we perhaps travelled a bit more than I wished to , to beaches and activities. The Hillside shire horse centre is fantastic and Cromer is nice. Hide
