If you and your partner are looking for a getaway with your dog, this cottage in Seahouses near Beadnell is a fantastic option. It''s a very comfortable and cosy property, with plenty of character, having once been a fisherman’s cottage. Plus, it’s in a hard to beat location on the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This means there’s plenty to do right on your doorstep, with any dogs easily entertained with mile upon mile of beautiful walks in the immediate vicinity.

Inside, the living area is one lovely open-plan room. It manages to fit in a cosy seating area for relaxing evenings in, watching TV or kicking back with a good book while your dog sleeps at your feet. The kitchen area is small but perfectly formed with everything you should ever need to cater for yourselves while on holiday. You can eat any meals you make at home at the bistro table – the ideal spot for romantic evenings spent at the property. The bedroom is peaceful and cosy. It has a double bed and neutral interiors – while the beamed ceiling seen in the living area also continues in here. The bathroom has a shower and is tastefully decorated. Outside, you’ll find a courtyard which is shared with neighbouring properties. Right in front of the cottage, you can eat alfresco on a bench and there’s a BBQ so you can cook outside too.

It’s hard to find fault with the Northumberland coastline. The quaint village of Seahouses has everything you need for a quintessential seaside holiday break in the UK. There are lots of dog-friendly pubs and the beach is just a mile away, though Seahouses Harbour is just a few hundred metres distant.

This was our first experience of a rented cottage and whilst our expectations about the cottage may have been a little higher than a holiday camp cabin we still enjoyed our stay. The bedroom is a little cramped making dressing and undressing difficult at the sides of the bed. There are birds nesting above the door and it was necessary to wipe theRead more door handle outside before using it, but you cannot stop nature doing its thing. The area was quiet and peaceful and no noise from neighbours. We had misinterpreted the description of the location of the property as being directly on the harbour side and therefore expected harbour views, but this was our fault for making some assumptions. There had been a problem wwith the electrics blowing the main fuse when we first got there but this was quickly attended to by the owners after a phone call. This had been an unfortunate result of the wet weather affecting the door entry light outside. No ones fault just the weather. Hide

We stayed for a week but wished we could have stayed forever! Everything at the cottage was great, just as stated - together with a lovely welcome pack. The location was perfect with a fabulous harbour view just around the corner. And to top it off we made a new best friend Alexia, who had exactly the same taste in music as us! We can't wait to visRead moreit again next year (or sooner) and would highly recommend. Thanks for a lovely holiday :) Hide

The property is smaller than the pictures suggest but is well equipped and clean. The shower is particularly good. The fold-down table is just big enough for two to eat at. The mattress and duvet combination is very warm for summer use. Tha hob is an induction type which confused us to begin with. A larger kitchen bin would help. The courtyard is sRead moremall particularly with several cars in it. It is a safe area for children which may be useful. A few picnic tables are provided. The harbour is literally 50 paces away. Thoroughly enjoyable stay, but good communication from/with the housekeeper manager was impressive and well received.
