See your furry friend struggle to contain his excitement when he realises you can just stroll straight down to the beautiful beach at Cambois Bay from this exceptional holiday home. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom retreat enjoys a unique position in Northumberland’s Cambois, 5.5 miles from Blyth and right on the Wansbeck River Estuary. With a lawned garden too, it makes an ideal escape for a small family or two couples eager to bring along a canine companion.
Wander into this exquisite cottage, which was once a schoolhouse and stable, to find a wealth of character, including stonework and beams. Usher your pal through the hall and into the stylish lounge/diner, where you can fire up the wood burner and settle down in front of the Smart TV. Take him through to the long kitchen to feed him his food and whip up something tasty for the rest of your party. There are also two king-size bedrooms, one of which can be arranged as a twin instead by agreement, downstairs and a family bathroom. A steep staircase takes you up to the first floor where there is an inviting snug with game that the younger members of your group will enjoy. Let your pup explore the enclosed courtyard or take him out to run in the larger, lawned area. Choose which of the two paths to follow down to the beach from the garden. This cottage has private parking.
Let your pal run free on the beach at Cambois to his heart’s content. Venture into busier Blyth to enjoy the beach here, where pups can also play without restriction in most areas, or to book a dog-friendly boat trip along the river or out to sea. Follow the England Coast Path for 4.5 miles to Newbiggin with your happy hound.
