Savour the happiness experienced by your favourite furry friend when he realises just how near to the beach he is. This five-bedroom, coastal retreat at Beadnell Bay has its own gate on to a path through the dunes and down to the sea. Sleeping 10 people, the delightful Northumberland retreat makes a superb base for a sizeable family party or a group of friends and offers plenty of space for your waggy-tailed friend to join you.

Tempt your delighted dog away from the beach, rub down his sandy feet and make your way into the open-plan kitchen/diner. Give him a good drink, make everyone else a cup of tea and then head through to the spacious lounge to let him put his paws up for a spell. There’s a wood burner in here for autumn and winter days and a TV to relax in front of during movie nights in. Also at this level are a double bedroom, a twin, a bunk bedroom and the family bathroom. Head on up to the first floor to a king-size room and another double, which has the added bonus of a balcony that looks out over the dunes. Indulge in outdoor living as often as possible as this seaside retreat. Let your paw-some pal pad about the small lawn areas while you relax with a cool drink and watch the BBQ heat up. There is parking for two cars at the house.

Wander down to picturesque Beadnell Bay to let your happy hound paddle in the sea and leave his paw prints on the sand. Just be aware of avoiding any signed nesting areas. Walk along the Northumberland Coast Path in either direction, attempting perhaps the 3-mile stretch to Seahouses. Spend a morning at the dog-friendly Annstead Dunes Nature Reserve, 1.5 miles away.

Comfortable, well equipped, great location, We stayed during the May heatwave and the garden being south west facing was a real sun trap. But being on the coast meant we didnt bake because of the sea breeze. Dunes just beyond the garden gate meant the kids had their own sandpit to play in when we werent out. Just a short walk to the lovely BeadneRead morell beach. There were 8 of us, so size worked well, but when 2 friends came for an evening meal it was a bit of a squeeze around the dining table. Fine if you have smaller children which go to bed a bit earlier. Hide

A real surprise, when you open the door the space is amazing. Very comfortable (apart from sofas) clean, location fabulous. Powerful shower downstairs. Plenty of equipment. Every need catered for.

The property is ideally located. Good size. Just needs a good clean down & refurbishment. Some things in house were dirty. Response from holidaycottages.co.uk: We have spoken with the owner to rectify the issues and they have spoken with their housekeeping team.

Excellent location for beach holiday with kids. Beadnell Towers and Courtyard best for food, others average.

Had a wonderful stay at this property. The location is fantastic as can access the beach from the back garden. The kitchen was very well equipped with a large fridge freezer. The two bathrooms look like they have been recently updated and the showers were powerful. The beds were very comfortable with high quality bedding. The cottage is in an ideal location and very well equipped ,however, it is starting to look "tired" and the photos on your website are slightly misleading.

We stayed at Seacot with our four grandchildren, aged between 3 and 6, and their four parents. We found the house perfectly suited for such a large family group. It is very well equipped, the rooms are light and comfortable but not overly luxurious, so that we did not have to worry about the kids damaging valuable objects. Seacot's biggest asset, hRead moreowever, is the outdoors. The secluded garden with direct access to the dunes which in turn give access to the beach was an amazing package. Beadnell itself is wonderful, with its combined stone and sand beaches a real treasure, and off the beaten track. Despite the variable weather (many outings nearby, among which the boat trip to Inner Farne Island must be rated very highly), we were very happy in Beadnell. Hide

Super location if you like sea swimming and beaches. Seacot is ideal for big family fun and local area good for eating out, especially Landing restaurant. Craister Arms good to be avoided., fish and chips van great.
