Stroll just 150 metres down to the beach at Seahouses to let Rex run and play as much as he likes on the sand. Then return to this gorgeous stone property at the heart of the village to soak up the sunshine in the courtyard garden with your four-legged friend. Sleeping six guests, this handsome holiday home is in a wonderful location for a family or group of friends seeking a dog-friendly stay on the Northumberland coast.

Follow Rex as he pads inside to explore his new home. At the heart of the cottage is a stunning, double-height reception and dining hall, with glass doors on to the courtyard. Let your pal wander through to the kitchen to take refreshment from his bowl while you start chopping and preparing dinner. Spend evenings together relaxing in the comfortable lounge in front of the TV or head through to the snug with Rex so he can warm his paws by the wood burner. As day turns to night, settle Rex then climb the stairs up to the beautiful galleried landing that leads to all the bedrooms. These include a super-king-size and a king-size, with en-suite shower rooms, plus a twin. All the enticing bedrooms have vaulted ceilings and TVs. There is also a family bathroom. Take Rex out into the garden to enjoy the morning sunshine as you have a cup of tea. Heat up the BBQ later so everyone can enjoy dinner out in the fresh air.

Take Rex for long walks along the scenic Northumberland Coast Path from Seahouses. Stroll approximately 3 miles to reach Bamburgh where there is another beautiful beach that he is free to enjoy off his lead at any time of year. Take him to walk through Annstead Dunes Nature Reserve, 1 mile from the cottage.

This is a lovely, tastefully furnished and decorated, very comfortable and well equipped house in a perfect location for accessing local shops and eateries and the all important beaches. Other lovely towns etc within easily driveable (and some walkable) distances. Outdoor space is limited and a little exposed to the back lane but, given the lovelyRead more surroundings, most people would be out and about anyway. A nice well appointed cottage in a good location easy access to the beaches and Seahouses pubs shops and restaurants, one of the few in the centre of Seahouses with off Street parking for 2 cars.

Booked Begas Bead for a family holiday - we all loved the house which is in a great peaceful location in Seahouses, also so convenient for visiting other places in the area either on foot or by car. Something for everyone.

Very comfortable and interesting property. Kitchen had everything you would need . Great location near the harbour . Parking was better than anticipated . Lovely time spent in Seahouses even with the thunderstorm we had .

Weve stayed at Begas Bead before so we know it well; its a lovely and comfortable house. I think that a bit more attention to detail would be good - the lack of dishwasher/washing machine tablets, foil or bin bags seemed silly, for instance. The yard/garden and outside furniture needed cleaning up, weeding etc - I appreciate that seagulls are a prRead moreoblem but I washed the furniture down when we arrived and it was still fine when we left, so I dont think its a waste of time. These are not major issues, of course. We had a lovely week, and we love Begas Bead. Hide

Have returned to Bega's Bead many times. Beautifully renovated cottage in perfect location - close to sea and Seahouses' amenities. Clean, comfortable, ensuite bathrooms, off-street parking, enclosed outside area, dog-friendly - perfect.

The cottage was well equipped and overall clean and comfortable. However, some of the bed linen and towels were not as clean as we would have expected. Luckily as we were under occupancy, we were able to use the spare pillows and towels and a lovely lady from Original Cottages did visit us and apologised, making us aware that they had been having pRead moreroblems with the laundry. The welcome pack was missing on arrival, which was promptly delivered the next day by the same Original Cottages representative, which was full of lovely goodies. Hide

Lovely cottage and very spacious, much more than the photos suggest. Great location and so close to all amenities. The price seemed high to some we spoke to but it was Christmas and it was for six people. We were very warm; too warm at times and we couldn't turn the heating down (we worried about this due to the cost of energy), but better too warmRead more than too cold. I'd book this cottage again. Great property, especially for those with a dog, would happily recommend it. I needed to log in for work, broadband was excellent and having two living spaces was really useful. Comfortable, clean, everything we needed. Parking dot in that part of town really important. The Original Cottages team impressed. Perfect cottage in perfect spot with off road parking. We loved it. Never been to Northumberland before but we will definitely be going back, its so beautiful. Very dog friendly everywhere you go. As for the booking company ( original cottages) we found the whole procedure very easy and they keep you well informed right up to before and after youRead morer stay.
