Head out with your furry friends to explore the beach, part of the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where you can wander for hours soaking up the stunning views, with Dunstanburgh Castle in one direction and the lime kilns and harbour in the other. Walk to Low Newton on the coastal path starting at Beadnell harbour (4 miles each way) and stop for lunch at Low Newton’s wonderful pub. Visit Bamburgh beach and castle (5.5 miles) and Dunstanburgh Castle (7.5 miles), explore the fishing port of Craster (9 miles), where you must try the world-famous smoked kippers.
