Property code: OC-12653

Escape to the Northumberland coastal village of Seahouses and take your precious pet with you. This single-storey, two-bedroom retreat is perfect for a dog-loving family as it sleeps four guests and welcomes four-legged friends with open paws. It has a courtyard garden where you and your contented canine can enjoy the sea air together after your trips out and is ideally positioned for days on the beach.

Make your way into this comfortable home from home to find yourselves in an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with a vaulted ceiling with exposed timbers. Spread out and relax in here together after your exciting excursions. Let your pal stretch out on the rug while you find a good film on TV or make your plans for the following day. Head through to the kitchen area when it’s time to feed your famished four-legged friend and whip up something tasty for everyone else in the family. Open the doors in here on to the courtyard during the warmer months. Pull out the table when it is time to sit down and eat. A bunk bedroom for the younger members of your party can be found just off the lounge, while a double bedroom is just along the hall. There is a family bathroom at the cottage. Dine outside in the sunshine as much as possible, with your delighted dog close by. There is space for one car to park in a shared parking area.

Take your pup with you when you book a boat trip out to Lindisfarne or to see the seals from the village harbour at Seahouses. Walk 3 miles along the beach to Bamburgh where, as at Seahouses, your chum can race free at any time. Visit the castle grounds while you are here and let him join you as you explore.

Great little cottage in a good location, just around the corner from the harbour and Main Street. Outdoor area was perfect for our little dog. No problems with parking, very narrow archway entrance but ok if taken slowly. TV needs replacing, it stopped working on our last day - reported. Lots of places to eat/drink, many takeaways and a co op opeRead moren until 10pm Monday to Saturday. A very friendly place to visit, we would return. Hide

Flat met our requirements and our only issue was with heating and there was no blue bin for re-cycling that we could see.

Lovely cottage with enclosed back yard. Great for letting the dog out. Property was clean and had everything we needed. Great location for getting to all amenities in Seahouses and just a 10 min walk to the beach. Only negatives were the access to the property, you have to go through a tight archway which took a bit of skill at first. Wasn't helpedRead more though by the builders on the property at the end of the lane taking up valuable turning space (but this is likely to be just temporary as property renovations almost complete). TV was very temperamental (once you can work out how to use the remotes - which didn't always work) and bed was very creaky, the springs need oiling and wasn't very comfortable. Overall though a nice place to stay, good value for money. Hide

The property was in a good location for the town, harbour and amenities. Seahouses is a location for the attractions in the area.

Cottage was well equipped, clean and comfortable. Reduced the cleanliness score slightly as we looked up at the skylights during heavy rain and they had huge old cobwebs hanging off them. Cottage is in an excellent location and courtyard setup means it's very sociable. Very quickly felt like home from home.

There's a few point with thr holiday home. We felt tgr shower could do with some attention as the holder and head were not compatible. Some dust issues in bathroom and livingroom that could be easily remedied. No chopping board? Only 2 wine glasses. Hangers were all different and just looked like they had been left behind. The Property asked us to Read morehoover on departure but the hoover was old and snelt very bad. Think it would be adviced to buy a bag less hoover so previous dirt is removed reducing smell. Glass was not allowed in recycling bin but no advice given on what do do with it. We found glass from previous tenants and removed as it was bin week. Just small things but they built up. Hide

Lot of heavy cobwebs hanging from ceiling which is very high so understand it's difficult, also info says bins emptied on a Thursday but it's Wednesday, otherwise it was very good everything we needed close to town centre and beach and clean and tidy.

We will come back but it's not for everyone. Not very well cleaned, tough creaking mattress and the roof is about to blow off with the next storm. But we love it.

Dealing with original cottages was great, well informed, would book with them again no problem. The property itself was in a great location, but just looked a bit tired in places and needed a really deep clean. The kitchen was good and plenty of equipment. Sweet courtyard out back, great for letting dogs out last thing at night. We would go back asRead more we had a great time in an amazing area, fantastic beaches, the dogs loved it and overall good value for money. Hide

Myself and my 6 year old had a lovely holiday in Seahouses. The cottage was very well located near the harbour with easy access to everything. The double bed mattress could do with an upgrade and it would be nice to see the courtyard cleared up a little. It was very weedy and the outdoor furniture could do with being replaced.
