Property code: OC-12653

Escape to the Northumberland coastal village of Seahouses and take your precious pet with you. This single-storey, two-bedroom retreat is perfect for a dog-loving family as it sleeps four guests and welcomes four-legged friends with open paws. It has a courtyard garden where you and your contented canine can enjoy the sea air together after your trips out and is ideally positioned for days on the beach.

Make your way into this comfortable home from home to find yourselves in an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with a vaulted ceiling with exposed timbers. Spread out and relax in here together after your exciting excursions. Let your pal stretch out on the rug while you find a good film on TV or make your plans for the following day. Head through to the kitchen area when it’s time to feed your famished four-legged friend and whip up something tasty for everyone else in the family. Open the doors in here on to the courtyard during the warmer months. Pull out the table when it is time to sit down and eat. A bunk bedroom for the younger members of your party can be found just off the lounge, while a double bedroom is just along the hall. There is a family bathroom at the cottage. Dine outside in the sunshine as much as possible, with your delighted dog close by. There is space for one car to park in a shared parking area.

Take your pup with you when you book a boat trip out to Lindisfarne or to see the seals from the village harbour at Seahouses. Walk 3 miles along the beach to Bamburgh where, as at Seahouses, your chum can race free at any time. Visit the castle grounds while you are here and let him join you as you explore.

This property is not worth staying at. Starting with the coldness, lack of instant heating. Cleanliness very poor, dirty towel left in basket. Ladies personal pleasure equipment found in bedside cabinet. Hoover did not have a bag, so could not clean. Lots of broken furniture and items. Dusty items stored under bed, which was an old sprung mattress.Read more Many other issues. Would not stay here again or recommend. Hide

It as a pleasant little cottage in a nice location. The bed and pillows were not very comfortable. The kitchen and lounge very small compared to the good sized bedroom and bathroom. Another towel rail in the bathroom would be good. The garden area is not suitable for medium to large dogs. The cottage would suit 2 people best.

It was a great location and cosy cottage but the mattress in the main bedroom was very uncomfortable, I suffer with a bad back and this made it a lot worse. There had already been comments made about this in the comments book in the cottage, but obviously not acknowledged which is a shame. I look forward to my own bed for a good nights sleep.

Great little cottage in a good location, just around the corner from the harbour and Main Street. Outdoor area was perfect for our little dog. No problems with parking, very narrow archway entrance but ok if taken slowly. TV needs replacing, it stopped working on our last day - reported. We appreciated the welcome packs which were left for using in the kitchen and bathroom. We also enjoyed the little touches of milk, teabags, coffee and biscuits. However we found the heating system of night storage heaters to be inadequate and the electric fire made a loud noise whenever you switched it on. There was only one wine glass and the tiRead moren opener was rusty which I did not find acceptable. However the property was clean and comfortable for two people. Hide

Lovely cottage with enclosed back yard. Great for letting the dog out. Property was clean and had everything we needed. Great location for getting to all amenities in Seahouses and just a 10 min walk to the beach. Only negatives were the access to the property, you have to go through a tight archway which took a bit of skill at first. Wasn't helpedRead more though by the builders on the property at the end of the lane taking up valuable turning space (but this is likely to be just temporary as property renovations almost complete). TV was very temperamental (once you can work out how to use the remotes - which didn't always work) and bed was very creaky, the springs need oiling and wasn't very comfortable. Overall though a nice place to stay, good value for money. Hide
