This bright and airy farmhouse is based in a unique and unforgettable spot on beautiful Holy Island in Northumberland. It’s a great place to truly get away from it all with your family or a small group of friends, plus a couple of dogs. The property is elegantly decorated throughout, with spacious communal areas and comfortable bedrooms. Relaxing here is easy thanks to the peace and quiet, plus the far-reaching views in all directions.
Enter the property through a utility room – a great spot for towelling down sandy dogs. You can then go through to the kitchen, finished in a traditional farmhouse style with everything you should need to cater whilst on holiday. Share meals at the pretty kitchen table and plan your day’s activities with the rest of your group. The first of two lounges has lots of places to sit around the open fire, where dogs can snooze on chillier days. Or you could head to the second lounge and sit on the sofa to read a book. The conservatory is another sociable area with a telescope for stargazing. Downstairs is a lovely bathroom complete with shower over the bath for rinsing off after busy days. Upstairs are three bedrooms – choose between a king room with dual aspect windows and an en-suite, a super-king room that can be a twin if needed, and another king-size bedroom home to a pretty feature fireplace. The accommodation is completed with a shower room. Outside, you’ll find a wonderful garden – perfect for letting out dogs or for kids to play. It has a lawned area, decking, a table and chairs, and a BBQ for making the most of lovely weather during your break.
Once you’re ready to explore the area, you could visit dog-friendly pubs or walk to see Lindisfarne Castle, just a mile away. Dogs will simply love going on one of the many stunning walks right from the front door. Holy Island is a tidal island meaning it gets cut off by the tide twice a day, a real chance to escape from the ordinary. Plan trips to the mainland to visit magnificent Bamburgh Castle and the charming town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, both within 15 miles.
