For an extra-special holiday with everyone invited, look no further than this incredible retreat. You’ll have space for 14 people and four dogs across two properties, so organise a big family reunion, a wedding party or a team trip and get ready to have the time of your life. Torquay is a charming coastal town with lots to keep everyone occupied and the cottage has plenty of fun features.
The main house is a Victorian building which sleeps ten guests and has been updated to include all kinds of stylish modern touches. On the ground floor, you’ll find the lounge with a wood burner, kitchen, dining room, conservatory, and an en-suite twin bedroom. The dining room can convert into a games room and the table transforms into a pool table for after-dinner fun. The conservatory also has a large dining area with a long table, perfect for busy brunches. Head down to the cellar to find a utility room and another games room. This is equipped with special gaming chairs, and an incredible setup for video games. Return to the ground floor and then go upstairs to the first floor to find four further bedrooms, two king-size, one double and a twin, each wonderfully comfortable and completed with an en-suite. The remaining accommodation is in the modern mews building which is completely independent from the main house. On the ground floor, there is a lounge, kitchen and family shower room, while the king-size and twin bedroom, and a family shower room are on the first floor. Outside, you’ll find a seasonal dining area on the patio, perfect for enjoying food prepared on the BBQ or in the pizza oven on a dry sunny day, and afterwards, you can take a dip in the hot tub (available easter till 1st October) or stretch out in the gazebo.
Torquay is a lovely town with plenty of places for families, friends and canines to enjoy. You’ll be 0.5 miles from the Kents Cavern Prehistoric Caves, which are fascinating and offer exploratory tours and yoga classes. For fresh air, try Meadfoot Beach, which allows dogs – it’s perfect for a quick dip and has lots of rock pools to check out.
