Bring two canine companions and discover the delights of dog-friendly Padstow with a stay in this immaculate house. Ideal for families or a small group of friends, it’s in a quiet spot only half a mile from Cornwall’s foodie haven and close to sandy beaches and scenic walks. Unwind in this contemporary retreat with all your favourite people after busy days out and about in North Cornwall.
This beautifully decorated property combines calming colours, natural wood and sleek furnishings for an elegantly comfortable feel. Cooking is convenient in the glossy, integrated kitchen, which flows around the corner to the dining table tucked under the stairs and the open-plan lounge. Here you can relax after a day out enjoying the best of Cornwall, watching the Smart TV with your tired hounds at your feet. On this floor you’ll also find a single bedroom (with Smart TV), while upstairs there are two further bedrooms, a double (also with a Smart TV) and a twin, all three sharing a fabulous family bathroom. At the front of the house, a decked area with outdoor furniture allows you to enjoy al fresco drinks and meals.
You’ll want to explore the bustling streets of Padstow, where there are lots of boutique shops and galleries to delight, stopping for a break at one of the many pubs, cafes and restaurants. For fans of TV chef Rick Stein, St Petroc’s Bistro will be a draw, which is dog-friendly in the secret garden or bar area (and there’s a warming fire here when the weather turns chilly). This area is surrounded by fabulous, dog-friendly beaches, including Hawkers Cove and the adjoining Harbour Cove, just along the coast path from the centre of town. For more fun (and sandy noses) in the surf, within 5.5 miles are the famous ‘seven bays for seven days’, of which only Trevone Bay has restrictions during the daytime from mid-May till September.
