An impressive, detached property brimming with traditional character, situated down a lush private driveway, is perfect for families, friends and up to two beloved hounds looking for a tranquil holiday on the Suffolk coast. Take advantage of the idyllic seaside location and let your pups lead you along the dune-backed shores of Walberswick Beach, 100 metres away and hop aboard the summer ferry to explore the Edwardian town of Southwold, 2 miles away.

This elegant two-storey house boasts an appealing blend of rustic charm and contemporary interior comforts. There are plenty of spaces to socialise, and your canine companions will find their favourite spots. There is a spacious drawing room with comfortable seating and south-facing windows or relax in the light-flooded lounge with a large bay window, comfortable seating, and an open fire. An open-plan kitchen has everything to make meal preparation a breeze and a dining room to enjoy meals together. An annexe on the ground floor boasts twin beds, a sitting area, a bathroom, and a separate entrance from the garden. The main bathroom and four bedrooms are on the first floor - one king-size with an en-suite shower room, two twin rooms, and a super-king-size room. One of the twin rooms can be accessed via the landing or from the king-size bedroom, making it an ideal family suite when the en-suite shower room is shared. Outside enjoy the landscaped garden with a BBQ or hit the games room for a round of table tennis.

Bungay is a lovely market town where your hounds can sniff out adventures in the castle or along the many waymarked paths. For a romp on the beach, the quiet and unspoilt wild beach of Kessingland (14 miles) is a perfect choice to set tails wagging while the far-reaching views at Dunwich Beach and Heath (6.5 miles) showcase the stunning scenery of this part of Suffolk coast.

Lovely spacious house and garden for a family group of mixed ages. We were lucky with the weather and were able to use the garden to play games and generally chill. Plenty of parking for 3 cars. Village beautiful and fairly self contained with the Coop, Black Dog deli, and shops on the square. We had dinner out at the Anchor on our last night, nRead moreice food but expensive. Hide

A very comfortable, spacious, and well appointed property. Garden lawns well maintained, but rest of garden much less so. Problems with freezer and shower were reported and remained outstanding

We had 2 additional enquiries 1) was there any outside furniture - your office said No so we took 10 folding chairs only to find a huge garden table & 10 chairs. However the patio they sat on was covered in huge weeds up our legs which really should be cleared, hence No 4 above. Similar about the hairdryer, your office said No but there was one. I realise that's a big job, but could have been done in the winter surely? Hide

This is a very comfortable and welcoming house which makes an ideal holiday venue for a large family group, such as our own. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds are comfortable. The children loved the large and secure garden, especially the trampoline. Highly recommended.

A few improvements, the bbq was left dirty so we couldnt use it. One towel per person isnt enough tor 6 nights if you have long hair. We love Fairhaven but some people may find the decor and furniture a little tired.

Fairhaven is a wonderful, spacious, well equipped property. The location is also excellent - easy walking distance to the pubs and village green, also the harbour. You are also well placed to walk the footpaths over the estuary. We parked four cars and there was space for at least one more.

The property was exceptional and we loved both it and the wonderful garden, but is showing obvious signs of wear and tear; additionally, the outside lights do not work and it was extremely difficult to lock the back door due to warping. It was also very disappointing that the usual Welcome Pack from Suffolk Secrets has been abandoned, as we have coRead moreme to rely on that for milk! Hide
