Take one lucky pup to this lovely, terraced cottage close to Southwold''s seafront and high street. This property perfect for an extended family or friends looking for an active holiday at the seaside. Southwold is the quintessential seaside resort, and beautiful Denes Beach (0.5 miles) available all year for your pup''s paw prints on the sand. Southwold boasts colourful beach huts, a pier, fish and chip shops and ice cream parlours; everything you could want from a traditional British beach holiday.

This charming and spacious property, set over three levels, contains comfortable, airy rooms and plenty of space for you and your hound. Downstairs, under beamed ceilings, you''ll find a good-sized living room with a wood burner and a dining room with a long wooden table for socialising. The large kitchen contains everything you need to cater for a large party. Also on the ground floor, in an extension built onto the cottage, is a superking size bedroom with an en-suite wet room. You''ll find three bedrooms - a king, a bunk, a twin, and two bathrooms upstairs. A second flight of steep, narrow stairs takes you to the top floor and a twin bedroom under the sloping eaves. French doors from the kitchen lead out to the enclosed shingle garden with a patio, garden furniture and a BBQ, ideal for al fresco meals on warm evenings.

Take a trip north up the coast to Kessingland Beach (9 miles), where your four-legged friend can run and splash in the sea. Head south, and you will come to the breathtakingly beautiful Dunwich Heath (8.5 miles) and beach: take in the stunning scenery and far-reaching views. For a day inland and boating on the Norfolk Broads, head to the nearby market town of Beccles (14 miles).

The location was the biggest selling point for us and previous comments about the property being a bit tired is accurate but it was clean and warm and therefore exactly what we wanted for a family short break.

This is the second stay we have had in Holeystone Cottage and we love it! You can't beat the location for easy access to both town and beach which is an essential ingredient for our vacations. We love the layout of the property which is deceptively spacious, meaning all our family members can gather comfortably in one place for a get together. The Read morebespoke parking is also a real asset, especially as we tend not to travel much once we have arrived! I would highly recommend this property to prospective holiday makers and would hope to return again sometime in the future. Hide

Excellent location and very good value for money. Just needs a bit of a refresh and some care given to certain areas.

A brilliant home for an extended family gathering, so well situated in southwold that you can almost touch the sea , the shops and the pub. Not 5 star luxury but perfect for our needs .

Good welcome pack, excellent towels and linen, very well equipped kitchen (except dishwasher), rotary drier and pegs a useful addition. On the whole very satisfactory but starting to look a bit tired and in need of TLC. Upstairs bathrooms for instance.

This cottage is good value for the location and number of people that it holds but do not expect any luxuries!

The position of, and space within, Holeystone Cottage makes it an ideal base for soaking up all that Southwold has to offer. The parking space is icing on the cake.
