The cottage boasts a fantastic location at the far end of Aldeburgh’s high street, giving you easy access to shops and eateries, whilst enjoying the peaceful surroundings of this quiet corner of town. There are some lovely coastal walks from the town to explore with the hounds, taking you to nearby Thorpeness (2 miles). The cottage’s piece de resistance is its gorgeous garden, which is fully enclosed for your canine chums.
The traditional flint property is warm and inviting, with homely accessories and pretty soft furnishings. The lounge is a sociable space, with a choice of comfortable seating to relax on. French doors open into the light-filled conservatory, where you’ll find more comfortable seating, as well as a dining table to seat everyone. Doors lead from here to the garden, making it a great place for the woofers to set up camp. Completing the ground floor is a large dining room, kitchen, and shower room. The four tastefully decorated bedrooms are upstairs (one of which is accessed via its own staircase), along with the family bathroom. The mature, enclosed garden has a large lawn for Rover and Fido to play on, as well as a patio and BBQ for al fresco dining.
You’ll find plenty for you and your hairy sidekicks to see and do in Aldeburgh. The town has a fantastic collection of independent shops and galleries – many of which welcome four-legged visitors – and an excellent range of eateries. You must also make sure you sample the town’s iconic fish and chips! The main beach has a seasonal dog restriction, but just 0.5 miles along the coast is a peaceful shingle beach which welcomes hounds all year. From Aldeburgh, enjoy doggy days out to the unique village at Thorpeness (2 miles) and the seaside resort of Southwold (18.5 miles).
