This luxurious apartment enjoys a fantastic, central location on Southwold’s bustling high street. Sleeping four guests and one furry companion, the coastal retreat makes a great base for both couples and families looking to explore the stunning Suffolk coast. Doggy day trips from Southwold include the colourful seaside town of Aldeburgh (17.5 miles) and the market town of Framlingham (20 miles).
Enter the property via a private entrance, where you’ll find space to store sandy boots and dog-walking gear. Upstairs, the first-floor apartment oozes style and sophistication, with elegant, wood-panelled walls, opulent light fittings, and carefully chosen accessories. A delicate coastal theme runs throughout the property, with beautiful seascapes adorning the walls and quirky, beach-themed touches in each room. At the heart of the home is a bright and spacious lounge/kitchen/diner, where you can unwind after a day of adventure with your canine chum. To the rear of the room is a sleek kitchen area, with all the equipment needed for a self-catering holiday. Share dinners together at the cute, round table in the corner, before retiring to the comfortable corner sofa to watch a film on the Smart TV as Rover dozes at your feet. Alternatively, sneak off to the cosy snug to read a book or watch something different on the TV. This room also has a sofa bed, which accommodates an additional guest if required. The apartment has two beautiful bedrooms – one of which has an en-suite shower room – along with a family shower room. The apartment has no outside space. However, the main beach is at the end of the high street, and you’ll find a section that welcomes hounds all year just 0.5 miles away. Loading and unloading is possible in front of the apartment, and on-street parking is nearby (subject to availability).
The holiday home’s location puts you in a prime position to explore the town’s excellent array of independent shops, boutiques, galleries, and eateries, many of which happily welcome waggy-tailed visitors. Southwold is a seaside town, and just north of the main beach you’ll find Denes Beach, where woofers are welcome all year. From the town, hop on the foot/paw ferry across to the fishing village of Walberswick to spend the day on the vast sand and shingle beach, before refuelling in a friendly village pub or cute cafe.
