Come together with friends and family in this chic bolthole on the Suffolk coast. Sleeping seven guests and two canine companions, the spacious property has large social areas and a choice of places to dine both indoors and outside. You’ll be just 0.5 miles from Walberswick’s secluded beach and picturesque harbour. A short ferry ride takes you across the river to the popular seaside resort of Southwold.
Kick off your sandy shoes in the porch, and head through to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The neutral decor is brought to life with vibrant pops of colour in the accessories and soft furnishings. Cook up a storm in the colourful kitchen and gather around the wooden dining table by the cosy wood burner. After dinner, unwind on the sofas to watch the Smart TV. Folding doors divide the two areas, which is handy if you need to keep Rover and Fido contained whilst you eat. On the first floor, you’ll find two king-size bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite shower room. There’s also a stylish family bathroom. The remaining interconnecting bedrooms are in the attic and are particularly suited to children. The enclosed garden has a choice of seating areas, and lots of pretty borders for the woofers to sniff and explore.
The beach at Walberswick welcomes canine visitors all year, and it’s also a great spot for swimming, surfing, and crabbing. The village has some lovely paw-friendly cafes and tea rooms, as well as two cosy pubs. From here, you can enjoy day trips to the seaside resorts of Southwold (via ferry) and Aldeburgh (15 miles). For something a bit different, head to the unique holiday village of Thorpeness (14 miles). With its mock Tudor houses and spectacular manmade lake, it’s a paradise for photographers. It also has a woof-friendly beach.
