The spacious apartment is located on the outskirts of Walberswick. The property makes the perfect couples’ retreat or base for a small family looking for a traditional seaside getaway with the woofer. The village has a gorgeous beach that welcomes hounds all year, as well as two cosy pubs. Picturesque coastal walks lead to nearby highlights such as Southwold (3 miles) and Dunwich (7 miles). After a busy day, relax in the enclosed garden with a sundowner.

The ground-floor apartment has an arts and crafts-style design and is decorated in a contemporary style. The sociable lounge has ample comfortable seating and a cosy wood burner providing a snuggly spot for Fido to curl up (basket of logs provided) There’s also a piano for musical guests to enjoy. Patio doors open from here to the garden, providing easy access for the pup. The accommodation also comprises a country-style kitchen/diner, as well as two bright and airy bedrooms – a king-size and a twin. The family bathroom completes the property. Steps lead down to an enclosed garden, with a large lawn for the woofer to play on and a choice of seating areas for soaking up the Suffolk sunshine.

A ferry ride or coastal walk brings you to Southwold, known for its colourful beach huts, pier, and historic lighthouse. The beach here has a seasonal dog restriction, but there is a section just past the beach huts that welcomes hounds all year. Another coastal town that’s well worth adding to the itinerary is Aldeburgh. Rich in culture and heritage, the town hosts an annual literary festival and has a plethora of galleries to explore. The town is also known for its delicious fish and chips. The area is a haven for walkers, with nearby routes taking you around the perimeter of RSPB Minsmere (9 miles) and Dunwich Heath (8 miles).

Wonderful cottage in the best location - so quiet, yet near the beach, the shops and the deli. Comfy beds and sofa, love the piano! Pretty, secluded garden too.

An old property, in very peaceful settings with a lovely garden and not far to walk to beach, pubs, shops, quay. Quirky lighting - no ceiling lights, loads of lamps. Our third visit, will certainly be back again.

1, Millstones combines character with comfort. It is perfectly located on a quiet road, close to the beach, village centre and two great pubs. Its our third visit to the house and returning this year felt like returning home.
