Southwold is an extremely woof-friendly town, with many eateries and shops welcoming four-legged visitors. After a bite to eat, stroll along the promenade, with its colourful beach huts, explore the arcades on the pier, head to the beach (there’s a section that welcomes woofers all year), or catch the ferry across to Walberswick. This pretty village is known for its crabbing, and also has a fantastic dog-friendly beach and excellent surfing conditions. Keen walkers can explore the Suffolk Coast Path, or head to Dunwich Heath (10.5 miles) or Benacre National Nature Reserve (5 miles).
