This woof-welcoming retreat is just 500 metres from Southwold’s beautiful seafront and the bustling town centre is 0.5 miles away. The property sleeps eight guests and two pups, and has a gorgeous landscaped garden that’s fully enclosed. The paw-friendly Denes Beach is 1 mile away, and you can hop on the foot ferry to spend the day pottering around the quaint village of Walberswick.
The contemporary cottage has been lovingly extended and renovated, to create a welcoming holiday home for you and your hairy friends. The open-plan layout creates a very sociable property, and the hard floors make it easy to deal with sandy pawprints. Follow the garden path to the front door and once inside, you’ll find an entrance hall for storing outdoor gear and the downstairs twin bedroom and wet room. The main living space comprises a lounge/kitchen/diner, with ample comfortable seating, a wood burner, and a large dining table. Bi-fold doors open onto the garden, so Rover and Fido can amble in and out. The remaining bedrooms – two king-size and a twin - are upstairs, and all boast en-suite facilities. The impressive garden has a choice of seating areas for al fresco dining, and steps leading to a landscaped area with lots of pretty shrubs and flowers and paths for the hounds to explore.
Southwold is a quintessential seaside town. Enjoy dog walks along the promenade, past the colourful beach huts, and strolls along the beach (the section past the beach huts welcomes woofers all year). Alternatively, journey along the coast to the serene and secluded golden sand of Covehithe Beach (5 miles), where canine visitors are welcome, whatever the season. Spend a relaxing day at Walberswick, where you can join the locals for a spot of crabbing, swim in the sea, and dine in one of the dog-friendly pubs or cafes.
