"Just back from a wonderful stay at Old Hall Farm House. The property was a fantastic base for 3 families with young children. They loved playing in the garden and having access to the Maize Maze for the week was a real bonus. We had lots of wonderful trips out to Southwold, ROARR, Africa Alive and the East Anglia Transport Museum. The house was very clean and comfortable and we would definitely recommend" - Pam Knight
This characterful former farmhouse stands in picturesque countryside just 2 miles from the coastal town of Southwold, welcoming dog-owning families or groups craving rural tranquillity and the run of the South Coast and Heaths AONB. With spacious, tastefully-appointed living areas and outside spaces, versatile bedroom configurations and multiple bathrooms, the three-storey farmhouse will effortlessly cope with large, multigenerational parties.
You will immediately feel at ease in the south-facing lounge, which is spacious enough for everyone to socialise in throughout the day, especially after cooking and fuelling up in the modern kitchen/diner. Parents with mucky pups on two and four paws will find the utility room opposite incredibly useful, not least because it leads straight to and from the garden. The small study nearby is perfect for answering important calls or work emails. The first floor is home to an en-suite super-king-size bedroom, a single bedroom with an additional pull-out bed, and a family suite comprising a king-size bedroom connecting to a single bedroom. A family bathroom stands nearby and there is a lovely family shower room on the second floor, along with a king-size bedroom and a single bedroom with an additional pull-down single bed. There is plenty of space in the enclosed rear garden lawn for children and the dog to play, along with al fresco dining options galore from the patio.
Southwold Maize Maze Play Park borders the property and is sure to be popular with both the young and young at heart, while scenic walks along the banks of the River Blyth and Reydon Marshes start virtually from your doorstep. The vibrant town of Southwold (2 miles) is home to a range of dog-friendly amenities, not least the 190-metre-long pier, and sand and shingle beach.
