This colourful and cosy two-storey cottage, just 8 miles from Southwold, offers inviting, naturally-lit living areas, beautiful outdoor spaces and easy access to a host of attractions on and around the Suffolk Coast and Heaths AONB. This elegant holiday let is the perfect place for a dog-owning family or friend group, with pretty garden space and lovely views on the first floor to soak in during your break. Here you can enjoy uninterrupted sea views and views over the marshes where a lot of resident and migratory birds can be seen.

Surrounded by equally characterful properties and set back from the B road running directly into the village, this beautiful cottage has a familiar, homely appeal. The spacious living area offers wonderful garden views through French doors that beg to be drawn back in warmer months to let rays of sunshine inside. There is plenty of room in the kitchen for cooks, diners and an expectant hound, whether you’re tucking into a lazy brunch or fish supper. A shower room and a bathroom also stand on the ground floor, both of which serve the well-appointed double bedroom and twin bedroom nearby. A seating area at the top of the stairs leading to the first floor offers relaxing views of the sea and the marshes, while the single bed behind, with an additional single bed underneath, is a handy option for younger guests. A beautifully curated enclosed back garden offers both a lawn and patio area, a place for games, al fresco dining and relaxation in equal measure.

Let the dog take the lead on Walberswick Beach (500 metres), a scenic stretch of coastline that runs down to the equally attractive shores of Dunwich (7 miles). Doggies can paddle on the beach at Southwold (8 miles), a small town home to a vibrant pier with plenty to occupy visitors on two and four paws. You and your dogs will also receive a warm welcome at Henstead Exotic Gardens and Leiston Abbey (both within 11.5 miles).

Great location, comfortable and well maintained property and garden. Location is excellent for exploring the local area, with good pubs, walks and of course the deli all close by. Very dog friendly property particularly because of the good size secure garden. Had a very relaxing short break. Comfortable property in a superb location, with a lovely, quiet, secure back garden. Black Dog deli opposite (great coffee and fresh bread), Anchor pub 5 mins walk (dog friendly and nice food), beach 10 mins walk (dogs allowed all year round). An easy drive to Aldeburgh, Southwold, Thorpeness and Beccles etc - all within 30 mins.

Fantastic location and we only used the car once in the week as everything we needed was in the village or the small ferry ride away in Southwold. The property is priced for its location.
