Perched on the edge of the Norfolk Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), this charming barn conversion is ideal for nature lovers – of both the human and canine variety! It’s in the sleepy village of Langham, your springboard for long, satisfying walks through sand dunes, coastal marshes and open farmland. This gorgeous property is equipped with underfloor heating and sleeps four humans and up to two dogs, so it’s ideal for a family or two couples holidaying together.
Inside the property, you’ll have a spacious open-plan living space with high vaulted ceilings, original wooden beams and a raw-brick wall – all elegant reminders of its original function as a barn. The floor, too is in lovely rustic brick. This room feels large and airy, with plenty of space for lounging on the sofas or, if you’re a four-legged guest, by the cosy wood burner. There’s also a TV if you fancy watching a film. The generous-sized country-style kitchen has a round dining table and chairs for enjoying meals together. Out the back, there’s a sunny gravelled space with a table and chairs so you can eat in the fresh air on mild evenings. Why not sizzle up a yummy BBQ and throw an extra burger on for your pets?
As well as in the AONB, you’ll find plenty of ball-throwing opportunities at the 10-hectare Thursford Wood (9 miles) and Holt Country Park (6 miles). While you’re in Holt, why not take your pets on the steam train to the traditional resort off Sheringham (10 miles)? Wells-next-the-Sea (7 miles) is a lovely seaside town for a day out. While there are some dog restrictions on its beach, the nearby Holkham Beach (9 miles) has none, and neither does the beach at Brancaster (17.5 miles).
