If you want a night off from cooking, head to Sennybridge (2 miles), where you can grab a takeaway or dine in at one of the canine-welcoming pubs. The tallest peak in the national park, Pen y Fan, is 9.5 miles away – around here are numerous mountain and valley walks for all levels of fitness.
