Wonderful peaceful location. Great for walking with/without a dog. Good amount of seats in the garden. Conservatory has countryside views whatever the weather. Wealth of cooking equipment and utensils; alternatively good cooking at CB Inn nearby. No wonder guests return.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful setting. Loved having lunch in the conservatory watching the sheep in the field next to the property, as well as the array of birds on the feeder....we were even lucky enough to see the woodpecker! Some lovely walks in the vicinity of the cottage and well placed for trips to Reeth, Gunnerside, Muker and Hawes to nameRead more a few. We had a couple of meals in the nearby CB Inn (only a short stroll) which were lovely and very attentive staff. The cottage had everything you could possibly need and was lovely and warm. We didn't need the open fire as it was unseasonally warm when we were there.....though it would be lovely to spend the evening by the fire in the cosy lounge! The bed was so comfortable and the crisp white bedding was such lovely quality, as were the towels. A very lovely stay in picturesque surroundings! Hide

We thoroughly enjoyed our Yorkshire Dales stay. We had no need of the fire as we went to Plantation Barn in a warm July, but it would be very cosy during the winter months. We found the Barn to be just what we had hoped for. Our dog loved the adventure of having stairs. We live in a bungalow! The views were outstanding . Yes, the upstairs bed squeaRead moreked a bit,but it was very comfortable. We had added excitement from the Ard Rock mountain biking challenge on one of our weekends. We had to account for that when choosing outings, but we were always better off in our comfortable car given the extreme hills! Very happy with our stay. Hide

The conservatory is really lovely for 2 people to have breakfast, and the shower is exceptional. The CB Inn round the corner is lovely and very dog friendly (do need to book). The location is great to access the nearby towns of Leyburn, Reeth, Barnard Castle, etc.

Lovely cottage with superb views and fantastic area for a walking base. Just not ideal for 4 adults with one bedroom downstairs and only one toilet upstairs. Proximity of neighbouring cottages is also a little unfortunate but cant fault the care of owners and how well the cottage is equipped.
