Strike out on exhilarating dog walks through the magnificent Yorkshire Dales National Park, when you and your best furry friend stay at this gorgeous, converted barn near Langthwaite. Nestled in Arkengarthdale, 13.5 miles from Richmond, the two-bedroom holiday home sleeps up to four guests and has a charming, enclosed garden, with far-reaching views out across its impressive surroundings.
Wander inside, taking one step up, to discover comfortable accommodation for both hounds and humans, as well as an abundance of beautiful, original barn features, including exposed stonework and beams. Take Rex through to the kitchen/diner to dish up his dinner and then start cooking a hearty feast for everyone else to sit down to at the table in here, in the conservatory or out in the garden. Watch the Smart TV or listen to music in the dining room or take a cup of tea into the conservatory and gaze out at the views with your faithful friend at your feet. There is also a double bedroom, with TV, downstairs, while a super-king-size is up on the first floor, together with the lounge. Light the open fire in the lounge, which has a vaulted ceiling, and find a film on the Smart TV up here while Rex dozes in the warmth. Take your four-legged friend out for a quick stroll when you awake then return to have breakfast together in the sunshine out in the garden. There is parking for two cars at the barn.
Make some sandwiches, grab a few dog treats and embark upon a 4-mile walk to Calver Hill, with its glorious views. Have a day out to historic Richmond, where you can wander the pretty streets, take Rex with you into the castle grounds and stroll out along the River Swale to Easby Abbey, 1.5 miles away.
