Take two lucky pups to this comfortable cottage in the pretty village of Bainbridge, ideal for families or a couple looking for a peaceful holiday in an area surrounded by stunning scenery and plenty of walking and cycling trails. One of the longest established settlements in the Yorkshire Dales, Bainbridge has a rich history – four paws will lead you across the river to Brough Hill for a walk and to spot the well-defined earthworks of a Roman Fort. Lake Semerwater is just 2.5 miles from the property and can be accessed on foot or by car and is great for walking, fishing, sailing, windsurfing or canoeing.

Step inside this lovely cottage and you’ll find yourself in the open-plan kitchen/diner. Cook up a storm in the beautiful kitchen and enjoy eating together around the dining table positioned in front of a window with far-reaching village views. Cosy up in the lounge in front of the warming wood burner, with your pups snoozing at your feet, and watch your favourite shows on the Smart TV. When you are ready to sleep, head upstairs to the first floor, where there is a king-size bedroom, a twin bedroom and a family bathroom. Outside to the front of the cottage is a cosy paved patio area with seating. Enjoy a morning coffee overlooking the village green.

Enjoy walking in the beautiful rolling countryside and let your hounds sniff out an adventure at one of the area’s cascading waterfalls. Choose from Aysgarth Falls (6 miles), Aysgill Force (5 miles) or Cotter Force (6.5 miles). Richmond Castle (20 miles) is a must-see if you are interested in the area’s history. The Yorkshire Dales National Park is on your doorstep, so you can head to Hawes (4 miles) and walk a section of the Pennine Way.

The cottage is great and one of the best equipped we have stayed in. Lots of walking from the cottage and great walks within a few miles. It is important to note if you are staying with young children or a dog, there is a small access road directly in front of the cottage.

This is a well positioned holiday home, which was well equipped and clean. Being an old cottage be prepared for creaky floor boards. Having only one toilet you need to holiday with family or very close friends!

The cottage was well furnished and presented, it was very clean. Ideal location for touring the area. Out of season parking in front of the cottage was no problem, if necessary dedicated parking bay at rear of cottage. We shall be booking again.

We`ve had a wonderful week in this lovely cottage with amazing views from every window. Very well equipped. Our daughter loved the park opposite. We enjoyed walking from the village to Semer Water and the waterfall at Askrigg. Also visits to Middleham Castle and of course Wensleydale Creamery. Thank you for the flowers and cake.
