Watch the joy on Rex’s face when you take him to run along the sandy beach and through the beautiful Dorset countryside. This two-bedroom cottage, which sleeps three guests and has a wood burner, is in a fabulous position in Swanage for dog walks of all kinds. Just 1.5 miles from the pup-friendly northern end of Swanage Beach, and 2.5 miles from scenic Durlston Park, you will enjoy watching his tail wag non-stop throughout your stay.

Step inside to find yourselves in an inviting lounge with beautiful, exposed beams and stone walls, plus a flagstone floor that is ideal for wet or sandy paws to be dried down on. Once cleaned up, let Rex stretch out on the rug while you fire up the wood burner in the striking inglenook fireplace. Sink back into the sumptuous sofa to warm yourself too and perhaps watch the Smart TV. Wander through to the kitchen/diner to open the back door on sunny days and let Rex amble outside. Feed him in here and make tasty meals for the human members of your group to enjoy at the breakfast table. The family bathroom is also downstairs. Ascend the narrow, winding, cottage-style stairs to discover your charming bedrooms, a king-size room, and a cosy single. Outside, spend sunny afternoons out in the pretty courtyard garden, letting Rex nose about while you enjoy a cup of tea and a bite to eat at the table out here.

Venture 4 miles to Studland, where you can stroll out along the golden sands and let Rex bound in and out of the sea as much as he likes, any time of year. You can pick up the South West Coast Path here, or closer to Swanage, take him on exciting walks with dramatic views out over the cliffs and open water.

Beautiful little rustic cottage with a fab log burner on the lounge to keep you really toasty in the cold evenings. Very characterful and charming and well located for easy access to Swanage and to the beautiful village of Corfe Castle.

A lovely old cottage, perfect for walkers. Close to footpaths to Swanage and Durlston, an excellent local shop, Indian restaurant and a fish & chip shop. Bus stop only 5 mins walk away. The cottage has a tiny courtyard garden which is pleasant to sit in, although is shady for much of the day. Definitely not for less mobile people - the steep, nRead morearrow, curving staircase is a challenge. Beware the low beam at the entrance of the stairs - it caught me out twice! The lounge is very dark - lights needed switching on during daylight hours. I imagine it would be cosy in the winter - the logburner would soon warm the place up. The main bedroom is large and light. Comfortable bed and plenty of storage. The single bedroom is cosy. The bathroom has a bath with handheld shower - this is fine however there is no shower curtain so we found it easier to sit in the bath to hair wash. It's a good 20-25 mins walk into the town and the beach - a little longer on the return as there are some uphill slopes. Overall, it is an ideal and comfortable place to stay, especially for people who enjoy walking. Hide

Cute, characterful little cottage. Rustic feel with all basic requirements, would benefit from a little updating. Stairs are very steep and need great care ascending and descending. Location fantastic for easy walking and bus access everywhere, we didnt use the car for our entire stay

A nice little cottage in a lovely area. Warm welcome with biscuits and champagne and a decorated Christmas tree. We stayed two weeks but as the cottage was advertised as having a washing machine be brought clothes for only one week. However, to our surprise, there was no washing machine, not in the kitchen, not in the bath, nowhere. Still we had a Read morelovely stay. Hide

As a whole the property needs new everything, Sofa is very warn and uncomfortable, splits apart to reveal a mousetrap. Dishwasher doesnt really work, new pots and pans needed as they seem to burn and set off the smoke alarm. Location is superb but for the money expected a little more of a finishing touch, higher quality.

A cozy little cottage which we have visited before and found it an ideal position to get around. The bed was very squeaky and needs improving on to ensure a restful night . The sofa is very low and not ideal for the older generation, but this said we had a lovely stay.
