Enjoy far-reaching rural views from the deck of this stylish property, ideal for families, small groups and a couple of waggy-tailed hounds. There’s an enclosed garden, too, and everyone will enjoy being just up the hill from the enchanting harbour town of Fowey.
Delight in the breezy atmosphere of this holiday home, designed with your comfort in mind. Hang your canine friends’ leads in the spacious hallway and enter the bright lounge, open plan to the dining area and the kitchen. If you want to spread out further there’s also a snug, with a day bed for relaxing with a book or the newspaper. Completing the ground floor are a king-sized bedroom, a bathroom and a separate WC. Head upstairs and you’ll find another king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room, and a twin room which shares the downstairs bathroom. The outside spaces are a delight: a wonderful, raised deck with an outdoor dining set and two sun loungers, as well as an enclosed garden with a winding path through beautiful borders.
With a store just along the road for everyday supplies and a children’s playground opposite, the house is handily situated; what’s more you can walk down to enjoy Fowey’s shops, cafes and restaurants and catch the local ‘town’ bus (pups welcome, too) back up the steep hill. The closest beach to the town centre is Readymoney Cove, where walkies with your four-pawed bestie are unrestricted all year other than during the daytime in July and August. That said, the surrounding area is home to miles and miles of glorious coast and countryside to explore, with plenty of dog-friendly beaches for sandy-pawed play. For a different day out, try the Lost Gardens of Heligan, 14.5 miles, where there are miles of pathways for canine companions on leads to sniff.
