Set on a rugged headland by the Atlantic Sea, this family-friendly house has direct access to the spectacular South West Coast Path and is less than a mile from the centre of bustling Newquay. There’s no beating this wonderful location right by the sea and there’s a wealth of wonderful eateries nearby too – perfect for beach days and evenings dining out.
Enter at ground-floor level and take eight steps up to the open-plan first floor of this delightful property, where calming colours create a light and contemporary feel. There’s comfortable seating in the lounge area, which flows through to the dining area and then the kitchen (where there’s the perfect corner to pop down your canine friends’ food bowls). Head back down to the entrance and it’s another eight steps down to the lower-ground level, where you’ll find two handsome bedrooms: a king-size with a fabulous en-suite shower room, and a twin with an en-suite bathroom. In terms of outside space, the larger bedroom has sliding glazed doors to an enclosed, decked terrace with a dining table and chairs, while a door from the first floor leads to a gorgeous balcony, with limited sea views and more outdoor furniture to allow you to dine alfresco.
There are dog-friendly beaches galore in this gorgeous part of North Cornwall, and a stay at this stylish property is the perfect way for your four-pawed friends to sniff their way around them all. The house is positioned between the two sandy beaches of Porth and Lusty Glaze, which welcome mutts all year other than during the daytime in the busy summer months, while the popular surfing beach of Fistral, 2 miles, is open to Fido all the time. For something different, you can take a nostalgic ride on a steam train at Lappa Valley, 4.5 miles away, or head out for a peaceful 2.5-mile walk along the River Gannel (check tides first!) to the village of Crantock and back.
