A dormer bungalow with a smartly decorated interior, this fabulous property is the perfect size for couples, friends or a small family, plus a furry friend. Close to the seaside, it’s ideally placed for exploring Southwold and the Suffolk coast and countryside beyond.

The picket fence and thoughtful planting outside give an immediate clue as to how cute this compact property is once you step through the front door. In the open-plan living space, there’s a kitchen area with everything you’ll need to create delicious holiday meals, to be eaten either at the table for two, or the foldaway table and chairs for four at one end of the lounge. Here, there’s a selection of comfortable seating and a TV with a DVD for watching a movie in the evening. The twin bedroom, which has an en-suite shower room, is also on the ground floor, while the double bedroom and family bathroom, plus a sweet little desk area, are on the first floor, tucked away under sloping ceilings. The courtyard garden is a delight, with a bistro dining set and a bench, surrounded by lovely shrubs and climbers: an ideal spot for a morning coffee, evening glass of wine or, of course, a place for your pup to sniff and explore. Muddy paws can be washed in the drying room, where you can also store walking boots and bikes.

The cottage is located in the small village of Reydon, just 1 mile from Southwold, Suffolk’s popular and charming seaside resort. The sandy Denes Beach, just south of the town, is dog-friendly all year, and you can take your pups into many of the town’s shops and cafes, as well as along its iconic pier, where you can play on a variety of interactive slot machines.

We slept well, location was very good. The place was let down by poor housekeeping. It needs a thorough clean and a refresh. The dust on several surfaces was so thick you could write your name in it and the lounge curtains were pretty grim. Stained at the bottom and very grubby.

This cottage was exceptional. It was spacious, very clean and had everything you could think of that you would want for an easy stay - and more. The weather was glorious so we spent time in the garden/courtyard, which was so peaceful. Id give this property a 10/10 and will 100% be looking to stay again.

What a lovely cottage. We took my elderly parents for a few days away and we all loved it. Everything we needed was to hand, it was warm, cosy and comfortable. The area is beautiful and although the weather was a bit wet at times we still had a great holiday and would definitely recommend to others

Excellent accommodation. We have stayed in several in this area, all of a high standard but this is the best in terms of home comforts; lots of appliances and kitchenware and the toiletries are a nice touch, too. My 11 year old didn't want to leave and wants to swap houses. Our only (minor) issue was the main TV was confusing and the smaller TV in Read morethe downstairs lobby didn't connect (although may be due to our unfamiliarity/incompetence). Would definitely recommend and intend to return; top marks to the owners! Hide

It is equiped with all kitchen /crockery items that you could possibly need. The owners have also provided books, DVDs & board games! We would certainly stay here again!

The locks were difficult for 2 old dears with weak hands to work from inside. But your man fixed them but not until my 83year old friend got out through the window!!!

Lovely property would highly recommend. Very quiet and comfortable with the Randolph Hotel a short walk away. We chose this property for the added disability aids in the downstairs bathroom and for the downstairs bedroom. The step coming into the house was a bit challenging, perhaps a small handrail could be installed to assist less abled visitors.Read more Ideally placed to visit Southwold and the surrounding areas, lots of buses to hop on and off too. Had a wonderful week. The property is well equipped and very comfortable. This property was ideal for me being disabled. The downstairs bedroom was ideal for me and I was surprised at the detail. The shower even had a seat inside and not often you get that. Only a few minutes drive into Reydon another plus. The equipment in it was short of nothing. We are talking now of coming back because we enjoyed it so much.
