This charming property in central Southwold offers peaceful accommodation for a group of up to four humans, plus one canine guest. It’s a charming building with sweet white mullion windows, which are typical for this quintessentially British seaside town. Located within the Suffolk Coast and Heaths AONB, Southwold is your springboard for exploring the coastal marshes, sand dunes and pretty clifftops of this scenic area with your loved ones and pet.
The inside is decorated in a quaint traditional style with plenty of wood and antique-style furniture. In the cosy lounge, there are sofas for sinking into plus an electric fire for those chilly nights (we’re sure Bella will appreciate the heat for her evening snooze). The two bedrooms – a double and a twin – are accessed via a staircase leading up from the lounge. Outside, there’s a small courtyard where you can enjoy morning coffee while making a plan about where to walk Bella today.
You’ll find an abundance of things to do in the surrounding area, be it tucking into a bag of chips on the beach-hut-lined seafront (500 metres) or enjoying a quiet drink in a doggie-friendly pub (300 metres). The popular Edwardian pier is a great spot for a family photo, as you look back over the town and distinctive white lighthouse (150 metres). While the main beach at Southwold has dog restrictions in the summer months, Denes Beach 0.5 miles away welcomes them all year round. Further afield, you could head to the more secluded doggie-friendly beaches of Walberswick or Covehithe (5 miles).
