This charming period property is located on a terraced street in pretty Southwold, 100 metres from the seafront and town centre. You can explore the town with your pets and take them for walks along the promenade or along the popular Southwold pier (0.5 miles). This attractive home has space for eight guests over its four bedrooms, with two doggies welcome to come along, too.

Made from lovely brick, this corner building features traditional sash windows with pretty white shutters. It’s surprisingly spacious inside and is tastefully decorated with nautical-themed artwork and decorations adding to its appeal. In the cosy living room, light up the wood burner to keep humans and canines toasty, then sink into the corner sofa for movie night with your pets nestled at your feet. There’s a second snug lounge that you can use as a kids’ room, or a second bedroom if needed. Outside, the enclosed courtyard is an excellent spot for enjoying morning coffee as you make a plan for the day.

You’ll have a doggie-friendly pub within 50 metres – ideal for popping out for a quick drink with your pet. When it’s time for some sandy adventures, the main beach at Southwold welcomes dogs from October to March, while Denes Beach (0.5 miles) is dog-friendly all year round. Covehithe beach (5.5 miles) is another excellent spot for ball-throwing and relaxing, as is the rest of the nature reserve in which it’s located. The area also offers plenty of walking routes exploring the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty you’re located in. One option is to head toward the River Blyth (1 mile) and wind your way towards the pretty village of Blythburgh (5 miles).

What a great position nearly opposite The Nelson pub. Fishermans Cottage is very central to everything that beautiful Southwold has to offer. Comfortable family accommodation which included the 4 legged members. Well equipped for 8 people and includes a lovely, little sun trap courtyard! A great base for a Southwold holiday.

We had a wonderful stay for our Mum's 80th Birthday celebrations. This property couldn't be better situated for anyone with limited mobility, close to the shops and the beach. Very well equipped with comfy beds and sofas. We would certainly return.

The property is in a prime location. The beach is on your doorstep, as is the pub The Nelson, but you are in walking distance to everything.
