This wonderful property, situated in the charming village of Kettlewell, is perfect for you and your guests – including the loyal hound! Sleeping six over four peaceful bedrooms, this property sits in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales and is ideal for using as a base for an adventurous family holiday. Head off for long walkies to spectacular Aysgarth Falls (14 miles), or go exploring the depths of Ingleborough Cave that welcomes your pup down with you (24 miles).

Leave your coats and muddy boots in the entrance porch and discover a welcoming lounge decorated in calming, neutral tones. Snuggle up on the sofas in front of the wood burner, the pup by your feet, as you make plans for tomorrow with your guests. The decor flows through to the contemporary kitchen diner where you’ll find everything you need to cook up a storm; eat at the table then head out to the courtyard with an al fresco drink and look over the beck. At bedtime, head up the stairs to two king-size bedrooms; both have lovely countryside views while one has a sleek en-suite bathroom. There’s also a spa-like main bathroom with underfloor heating for true indulgence. On the second floor, a superb dual-aspect twin bedroom with soft pastel tones awaits with a further twin through that room. Both can be converted into king-size beds on request.

Take a walk through pretty Kettlewell village and further onto the Dales Way to Buckden (4 miles) along the River Wharfe. You’ll take in some fabulous views of the Upper Wharfedale Valley. Take a ride on the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway (15 miles) where your four-legged friend can join you, or take a wander around Bolton Abbey (16 miles) where you can walk the riverside trails, cycle or fish.

A very comfortable house with great kitchen facilities, good communal spaces, comfortable bedrooms and smart shower-rooms. Right in the heart of Kettlewell so a great location for walkers. There are several pubs within walking distance and wonderful views from many of the rooms plus the beck right on the back doorstep. We were impressed with how waRead morerm the house was and how it retained the heat. From an environmental perspective, very sound and encouraging. A little on the pricey side but overall a lovely, well-located and cosy stay. Hide

We really enjoyed our long weekend stay in this comfortable, clean and well equipped property. The village is lovely and a great base for walks and other trips out. Fantastic to have a great pub so nearby and other pubs, places for tea/coffee/food and a shop too - we didn't have time to try them all!
