Inspired by seaside aesthetics, this eclectic four-storey cottage provides a wonderful place to host your next St Ives getaway. The whole pack’s invited, four-pawed pals included, of course, as this stunning seaside place sleeps six human guests and two energetic doggos. Spend time exploring pet-friendly pursuits in St Ives and beyond, leaving no stick unfetched within the Penwith Heritage Coast AONB and letting Fido chase all kinds of wildlife in coast and country beauty spots around you. The whole breadth of St Ives bay is close by for days on the beach, dotted with plenty of pet-friendly beaches for games on the sand, all year round.

Put your best paw forward and step inside, instantly finding yourself in a sunny lounge/diner with plenty of room to position your dogs’ favourite beds from home. There’s a wood burner in this space, perfect to warm up cold toes and paws after a day of splashing in the sea. A steep staircase down into the kitchen provides access to your private courtyard, an enclosed suntrap spot where you can enjoy morning coffee while Rover stretches their legs. Back inside, discover bedrooms on the first and second floors. Made up of a twin, a king-size and a bunk bedroom with a lower double bunk, there are rooms for everyone to get their solid 8-hours.

Go mutts for canine-compatible days out in and around beautiful St Ives. Let your dog have its day on Bamaluz Beach, a scenic sandy cove just half a mile away with no pet restrictions, even in the summer. If the weather doesn’t lend itself to a day on the beach, head to St Ives’ train station and board the St Ives Bay line to St Erth (5 miles), a dog-friendly way of seeing the area’s awe-inspiring scenery.

Bluebell Cottage is in a great location, near the town and with a supermarket close by. On entering the cottage we found it to be very clean and had everything we needed. We had a lovely week.

The only reasons to score down were on a few things. The hoover bag was full solid. Which then made it difficult to use and smelt. The shower head on the bathroom was broken so you couldn't move it up high so made showering difficult. And the bathroom had a lot of black mould, which could easily be removed with some bleach and a good scrub. OtherwiRead morese we loved it. Hide
