After a day at the beach or exploring Felixstowe’s shops, cafes and restaurants, you can be back home at this welcoming property in minutes. With space for a couple or a small family, plus one furry friend, it’s beautifully decorated in retro style with lots of modern comforts provided.
What could put you in the holiday spirit more than a bright and breezy seaside cottage that’s full of fun, eclectic furnishings? Comfort comes first, of course, and you can relax in the delightful lounge, filled with books, plants, artwork and ornaments, and where there’s a variety of sofas and chairs gathered around a wood burner-effect electric fire and a Smart TV. Here, there’s also a beautiful, solid wood dining table and chairs, ready for meals passed through the serving hatch from the pastel-coloured kitchen. The king-size bedroom has an en-suite shower room with a double-width rainfall shower, while the twin room features a writing desk and the most beautiful vintage wardrobe. This room has use of a pretty bathroom with a shower over the bath. For fresh air, al fresco meals and a chance for your hound to stretch their legs, there’s a sweet courtyard with planted borders and garden furniture.
The Edwardian seaside town of Felixstowe has a buzzy town centre with a variety of places to eat and all kinds of interesting shops. Buy an ice cream and wander along the 4-mile promenade with its colourful beach huts – a highlight is the fascinating Martello Tower ‘P’, one of four along this part of the coast. There are all sorts of lovely walks in this beautiful area, and one great choice is a stroll to the tiny fishing hamlet of Felixstowe Ferry, 2.5 miles, with its scenic views, charming houses and excellent eateries.
