Escape to this gorgeous family-friendly cottage situated on the banks of the Ceri river. Perfect for those looking to leave the hustle behind, this spacious home offers peace and quiet in abundance for five guests and their pups.
With close attention to detail and leaving character throughout, this charming property has plenty of room for the whole group. The vast open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is super sociable, yet with cosy exposed beams and a feature fireplace, is the hub of the house for cosying up with your happy hounds. Once bellies are rumbling, whip up a family feast in the kitchen before serving at the adjoining dining table, suitable for opening a bottle or two. Rest sleepy heads in one of the three stylish bedrooms; one ground floor twin, one first floor double and one single with an extra pull-out bed for added space. In the morning, grab the leads and coats from the downstairs utility and head out on your first walk of the retreat. The outside leads you right down the garden path to several gorgeous fields and to the river Ceri, where you can catch salmon for your tea. There’s also a lovely enclosed garden, so there’s ample space for Rover and Rex to run to their heart’s content.
With the cottage encased within its own paddock, you are truly immersed in nature, which the pups will adore. To get back into the thick of things, drive 8 miles to the market town of Llandysul, which benefits from a wealth of cultural and historical buildings to admire, as well as dog-friendly pubs and a fish and chip shop. Check out the dog-friendly beaches scattered around the area from the property. Energetic pooches will love running along golden sands and building sandcastles with a bucket and spade. To stay outdoors, why not experience some of Wales’ best outdoor activities, like golfing, horse riding, canoeing, fishing and tennis.
