Property code: OC-MOONRA

The perfect base from which to enjoy a family holiday by the sea, with up to six guests and one dog welcome, no family member needs be left behind. This swish little wooden chalet sits on the edge of the famous surfing village of Croyde, which can be accessed directly and within a half-mile along Billy Buds pathway. Those travelling with canine companions are sure to be made welcome on the beaches, along the spectacular coast paths and in the many dog-friendly establishments.

A couple of steps leads you into the open-plan living space which is bright and airy with large windows drawing the coastal light in. Let Fido sleep at your feet while you relax on the cosy sofa and let the designated chef prepare something in the compact and well-equipped kitchenette. The bedrooms are bright and spacious; a double, a twin and a bunk room and all three share the modern family bathroom. The property doesn’t have Wi-Fi, making it an ideal base for those in want of a digital detox by the sea. Outside the lawned garden is fully enclosed, a safe and handy space for children and your canine companion.

Croyde is a popular destination throughout the summer months, not only due to its famous curved bay and celebrated surfing, but its excellent position between Saunton (2.5 miles) and Woolacombe (5 miles) makes it a great base for enjoying the South West Coast Path, ideal for exploring with your dog and accessible from your doorstep. UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, Braunton Burrows also backs onto Croyde beach and is a brilliant location for sandboarding. Head into the heart of this pretty village for cafes, restaurants and pubs, most of which welcome dogs too.

We had a lovely stay in Moonraker over New Year. The location is a small stroll to the beach or into the village. The accommodation was clean and cosy with an amazing hamper on arrival, lovely touch.

We visited Moonraker early April 2023. It was perfect for us and our 12 & 14 year old children. Moonraker is in such a great position so close to the beach. It was fully equipped with everything we needed & more. It was spotlessly clean. We would definitely book again.

This was a lovely place to stay. A quiet spot, with a safe place for kids to play outside. Great, safe walk to the beach without having to cross any roads. Some lovely touches from the owner, like a welcome box with coffee and chocolates and wine. They were also quick to respond and repair the shower, which wasn't working when we arrived but it tooRead morek no time at all to sort out. For a short family break close to the beach with small children, it was ideal. Hide
