Everything a beach hut should be – this bright and colourful chalet sits on the edge of the popular seaside village of Croyde, North Devon, a destination famed for its surfing and a fantastic location to enjoy with your family and your beloved hound. With miles of golden sand and spectacular coastal paths to explore, you can spend your days digging for treasure and sniffing out seaside adventures before returning to a warm and welcoming home from home.
This colourful abode is accessed via two steps up to a stable door. Cross the threshold and you’ll find yourselves inside a vast split-level living area with vaulted ceilings and large windows, adding to the bright and airy atmosphere. The chalet has been decorated to a high standard with funky artwork and pops of colour. Of the two bedrooms, the master is a double and there is also a twin room, both share use of the family bathroom. Patio doors open from the lounge onto the deck via wooden steps, extending the social space to outside; this offers plenty of privacy and is a really lovely spot for drinking and dining alfresco. An enclosed lawn also sits at the front of the property, a safe space for Fido and for children.
Situated adjacent to the pedestrian path that leads to Croyde’s golden bay, this scenic pathway (about 0.5 miles long) is also suitable for cycling – and with dogs being permitted on the beach from October to April, Fido might enjoy the saunter too. The heart of Croyde village is half a mile from the property and offers an abundance of cafes, pubs and shops offering local produce, most of which welcome dogs. Head to Baggy Point with your hound and take in spectacular views from the South West Coast Path.
