Finished to a high standard throughout, this fabulously furnished cottage is light and airy, with pops of colour set against white walls and wooden flooring to create a sleek, contemporary look. The open-plan living area is a wonderfully social space to spend time with loved ones. Settle down on the plush sofa whilst Fido curls up in front of the roaring wood burner or gather around the dining table to plan the next day’s activities over a shared meal prepared in the stylish kitchen. Alternatively, dine alfresco on a warm summer’s evening in the Mediterranean-style courtyard garden whilst Rover explores the fully enclosed boundaries. Climb the stairs for a relaxing soak in the family bathroom before heading to bed in one of two charming bedrooms with hand-made soft furnishings and inviting beds promising a good night’s sleep for all.
A 100-metre stroll will bring you to Porthleven’s bustling working harbour, where the small fishing fleet lands a fresh catch daily. 300 meters away, the sweeping sands of Porthleven Beach extend for 3 miles to Gunwalloe at low tide. There is a seasonal dog restriction in July and August from 10am to 6pm on the section of the beach directly in front of the village, so head east along the shore to let your canine companions go wild. Alternatively, visit Looe Bar Beach, just over a mile away, for year-round unrestricted doggie access. For walkies to remember, join the South West Coast Path in Porthleven and take in the spectacular cliff-top scenery along the route to Praa Sands, 3.5 miles away. When it comes time to re-fuel, there are many dog-friendly cafes and pubs in both Praa Sands and Porthleven where you can sample some local ales and enjoy a meal of fresh local produce. You’ll often find a little treat or a water bowl waiting for your faithful friend too!
