Featuring a terraced garden, a charming mezzanine bedroom with skylights, and a stylish glass summer house, the cottage is perfect for cyclists and walkers discovering the glorious countryside of this spellbinding area.

The ground floor of this quirky and engaging cottage offers a cheerful open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with cosy seating, a folding dining table and a fully equipped kitchen area, making a lovely space to snuggle up and relax in the evenings. The ground floor also has a handy utility room and a refreshing shower room. Twisting wooden stairs lead up to the bedroom on the mezzanine level overlooking the main space. This snug room has a comfortable double bed, sloping ceilings and a skylight allowing you to stargaze, as well as a few wooden steps leading out into the upper garden. Outside, there’s a charming patio with a picnic bench and BBQ, providing a relaxing spot for dining alfresco. The terraced garden wraps around the property offering space for your pets to roam and a choice of places for you to sit back and take in the rural views. The plant-filled glass summer house provides a delightful shelter whatever the weather.

Close to the River Coquet, Harbottle has a dog-friendly pub and is a great base for long walks with your pets. Local attractions to discover with your four-legged friend include the Drake Stone, Harbottle Castle, Lady’s Well (all within 2.5 miles), with Thompson’s Rock, Lordenshaw Hill Fort and the gardens at Cragside all within 15 miles.

We were welcomed by the owner, cup of tea, biscuits and a grand tour of the property. Most unexpected but great. Beats finding the keys under the mat. Thank you we had a great stay.

Such a lovely little property to stay at and loved the scenery. Very dog friendly, the owner had provided us with a little welcome basket and dog treats for dogs. On arrival the owner greeted and welcomed into her home with a nice cuppa and loads of advice of where to visit. Would definable recommend this lovely property to people visiting that arRead moreea. A cosy cottage away from the road in a lovely location which is ideal for walking or trips to the coast. Our host was friendly and welcoming. The property was clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. We enjoyed using the 'sitootie' (garden room) overlooking the beautiful garden with views of the Drake Stone. The property is next to a small schoRead moreol so noise should be expected in term time, but it was very quiet and peaceful when we stayed in August. We loved our time at Bonny barnthe host Ann was lovely and very helpful and gave us lots of advise on places to visit.She greeted us with tea and biscuits on arrival.the pub is only minutes away great food and dog friendly
