The cottage is right in the middle of Warkworth hut set back from the road so you don't get the road noise. It's a bit dated in parts but perfectly comfortable as a base. It's well stocked with all the necessities. We enjoyed our few days away and would definitely go again.

Beautifully presented & quiet as its set back from the high street. The property was well equipped and we appreciated the Alexa downstairs and digital radio upstairs to be able to listen to music. The welcome basket and fresh flowers were a lovely & thoughtful touch. Warkworth is a great location for exploring the Northumberland coast. If you like Read morefresh sourdough bread then google Garden Room bakery which is based just across the road. Simon makes a selection of sourdough loaves and he delivered to the door. We'd definitely stay here again. Hide

The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. The hosts had provided a welcome pack and there were basic cooking items provided as well. Garden catches the last sun of the day. Village has two welcoming pubs and a village shop and the gallery is well worth a visit.

Rookery Nook is a lovely house in a quiet location though in the centre of the village. There is a nice garden if you bring your dog. It sleeps five with one bedroom ensuite. There are steps up to the house so it would not be suitable for anyone who has difficulty walking. We would be very happy to return if back in the area. Hide

For a Christmas stay, we found Rookery Nook to be a lovely, warm and cosy little house right in the centre of Warkworth, itself a lovely village in a beautiful part of Northumberland. The house was well-equipped, clean and everything worked well. Given the short days of winter etc, we didn't make use of the small back garden but went out every day Read morefor walks and outings. But it would be nice to sit there in warmer weather, I'm sure. Great to be so close to the castle, the river, local pubs and restaurants, the church and walks to the beach or down to Amble. But it was also quiet, we were not disturbed by neighbours or traffic at all. Hide

This was our second visit to Rookery Nook having done a week in 2023 too. We loved it so much we booked it again as soon as the calendar opened up. Beautifully peaceful and so quiet, even though it is right in the middle of the bustling village. The house has everything you could possibly need and the outside space is pleasant. Great location, just a bit tricky with the on street parking as to whether we would find a space each time. Lovely view from the back bedroom window.
