One of a group of seven stone-built cottages onsite, the property has ample space for four human and two canine guests. Three steps lead up to the front door of this airy single-level property. Inside you will find the bright, spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with high ceilings and windows allowing plenty of light to stream in. The conservatory-style lounge features plenty of seating and a wood burner, and there’s a sociable central dining area where you can share a family feast which you’ve rustled up in the beautifully equipped kitchen. The property also has a stylish bathroom and two cheerful bedrooms: an en-suite double with doors opening onto the patio, and a pretty twin with an exposed stone wall. French doors lead out from the lounge onto the delightful furnished patio, with a few steps leading up onto an expansive lawn with plenty of room for your pets to race around. An ideal space for dining alfresco, you will also have access to the shared hot tub.

The cottage looks lovely in the advert but unfortunately it is in need of a deep clean, I have so many photos of the cobwebs and the disgusting washing machine drawer, shared use of hottub advertised and this was one of the reasons for booking, however, it wasn't filled with water but was green with algae and other detritus (photo available) PlRead moreease think twice before booking swallow cottage!! A great base for exploring not only the immediate area but the Lakes to the south and Borders/Scotland to the north. A nice cottage in a quiet location with good amenities and a small town close by for shopping. Carlisle just 15/20 mins away and easy access to the M6 to explore the Lakes and Scotland.
