This charming property, situated just half a mile from Snape Maltings, is perfect for you and your guests - including the four-legged one! Sleeping six across four peaceful bedrooms and with plenty of space for the pup to stretch out, it won’t be long before you’re feeling refreshed and ready for a day of exploration. Head to Framlingham Castle and wander the picturesque lake, go for walkies along the rugged sands of Sizewell Beach (7 miles).

The property, which has a beautiful garden with a lawn that’s perfect for dining alfresco, is spacious and welcoming. Wood beams and exposed brick feature throughout this detached holiday home which has a cosy cottage-style feel. The kitchen has everything you need to cook up a storm for your family if you don’t feel like eating out, while the wood burner in the lounge invites you to curl up in front of it, the pup snoozing by your feet. Climb the steep staircases to bed; the rooms are all inter-connected, making the property ideal for young families. Enjoy social breakfasts in the dining room before heading out for a day of adventure.

Take a leisurely 2-mile walk along the track from Wentworth Hotel (5.5 miles) to Thorpeness (6 miles), where your canine companion will love wandering the sands at the beach that welcomes dogs on parts of it all year round. Sniff out clues on the Aldeburgh Treasure Trail that starts on Thorpe Lane (5.5 miles) and takes you 2 miles around monuments and landmarks in the pretty seaside town, making it perfect for little legs.

We were a group of 4 fishermen using the cottage as a base of stay whilst we fished lakes around the area . Cotrage was in a quiet location 2 minutes walk from 2 pubs . It was clean and quirky . Although I'm 6ft 4 and the only doors i didn't need to bend down to get through were the toilet and bathroom doors . Sherfield cottage is full of character and charm. Not the most comfortable place I have stayed in, mainly due to no proper shower, one loo, steep stairs and adjoining bedrooms. However, the property was clean and is better equipped than others I have visited. But the location of the property is fantastic , right on the footpath which takes you throRead moreugh the marshes, woods and earth. The river park takes you to Snape Maltings with its shops, Concert hall etc. Snape also has 3 pubs, which all do food. A thoroughly enjoyable stay Hide
